Question about Fisher Paykel EcoSmart GWL15

Error Code 130

I'm receiving an "error 130" code. It's having trouble getting water into the tub. The problem just started all at once. I think it must be a superficial error as everything worked just fine until just recently. I've read elsewhere that it may be a bad connection on the wiring for the "Rotor Position Sensor" but I'm not sure where to start to clean any corrosion/fix the wiring.

F&P EcoSmart GWL15 top load washer.

Thanks in advance!

The first thing you can do is simply unplug and plug it in 4-5 times to rub any patina from the brass contacts inside the molex plug.

Try that and let me know if you still have the error.
Thanks!!

Thanks for your response. I don't think we're communicating clearly, however. The "Molex" plug? You don't mean the power cord, do you? There's nothing wrong with that, if that is in fact what you're referring to. I think the problem, from what I've read elsewhere, has to do with this "Rotor Position Sensor", and may in fact be patina build up on the sensor, but I need to know how to get to it so I can clean it.

I've power cycled my washer, leaving it unplugged for minutes at a time, and that doesn't even fix the problem temporarily. I'm fairly certain this is a sensor issue, but I'm not all that mechanically inclined and I don't really know where to start on a washer.

Was getting a "IE" error during the wash cycle and the machine would shut off. Replaced both inlet valves and now I am getting a "FE" error as the machine is constantly filling with water.

Hello. I need the make/model number to help you accurately. If you have a Samsung washing machine, the IE error code pertains to a defective water level sensor. The "pressure switch" tells the computer how much water is in the tub at any given moment. It will have a tube (plastic or rubber) connecting it to the bottom of the tub. As water collects in the bottom of the tub, air is pushed into this tube and against the sensor. The sensor can fail in 2 directions. Your washer will not fill with water at all because it thinks there is already water in the tub(the tube is clogged)--or disastrously, keep filling until it overflows and floods your house because it constantly thinks there is not enough water. This can happen when the hose is loose on the sensor, a pinhole has developed in the hose and proper pressure won't build up which will give the sensor inaccurate information, or the sensor is just defective.
The FE error code refers to a "frequency error"--something is wrong with the incoming AC power supply--If this is an LG machine, then the error code is the pressure switch again--Sorry for the ambiguity but different makes have different meanings for the error codes--anytime an overfill condition exists, I first suspect the pressure switch, then I check the wiring harness connections, lastly, I suspect the main control board. I hope this helps you!

Electrolux dishwasher giving error code 1?

Good Morning Brian,

I understand that you are receiving an error code 1 on your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EWDW6505GS. Error 1 is stating that water has been detected underneath the tub. Check underneath your dishwasher by taking off the kick plate below the door. If you do not notice any water underneath the tub or any types of leaking, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 20-30 minutes. When the time has passed, restore power, and run any cycle. If you are still receiving error code 1, I suggest you contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

What are the common fixes for OE Error Code?

OE error code is an Outlet Error.

That has to do with the drain itself. It can come up when the unit is draining slowly, it has nothing to do with water-level really. I would suggest makign sure that your drain hose is not crimped / crushed / or obstructed first before going onto other problems.

GW712 will not agitate or spin, 1st and 7th lights lit, beeping every second.

Your Error code is 130
130. (10000010) Phase 1 to 6 Single Rotor Position Sensor Error
The Motor Controller has found an error in the pattern received from the Rotor
Position Sensor. Likely causes of this fault are a bad connection on the harness
between the Rotor Position Sensor and the Motor Controller, or a faulty Rotor
Position Sensor.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action:
1) Check for corrosion on the edge connector of the Rotor Position Sensor and
the Motor Controller module connector.
2) Check the contacts on the rotor positional sensor end of the hall harness to
see if any have been damaged. (Each set of contacts in the socket has two
wipers. If the distance between these wipers varies between different
contacts, replace the rotor positional sensor harness).
Secondary Source: Rotor Position Sensor.
Action:
Check the Rotor Position Sensor with an R.P.S. tester. Replace if faulty.
Tertiary Source: Motor Controller module.
Action:
Replace Motor Controller module.

Hello there and welcome to fixya
I am very sorry that you are having a troubles with your machine
I know that it can be very frustrating when dealing with error codes so i will do my best to try to help you thru this ok?
ok well first the f20 error code is a no water code meaning that the machine may not be getting any water into the machine or very little and after 6 minutes the error code will be shown on the display .
So what do u need to do is this
f you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:

- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.

If you HAVE water filling the wash tub, check the following:

- Make sure you don't have a siphoning problem. Click the following link for instructions:

Whirlpool dishwasher adg 642 not working start light flashhin 4 times

Hello Faye,
The F4 error code is a drainage error and it means that the control board did not detect a drop in the water level in the tub so it thinks it didnt drain.
The things that could cause this are a clooged filter on the pump asm, a blockage in the drain pump or hose or even a defective control board if in fact all the water has seemed to drain out of the tub. This is how ya set the diagnostic test to clear the codes and see if it reoccurs
  • Make sure the appliance is empty of water before running Diagnostics as it does not pump out before starting to fill and therefore you could overfill the appliance.
  • Open the door and set the program to the first program. (Normally rinse).
  • Turn the power off.
  • Press and hold the start button and while holding turn the power on.
  • After a little while the start button will flash, release the button.
  • Press the start button once and close the dishwasher door.
  • The machine will now run through a diagnostic routine.
  • Diagnostic takes about 20 mins.
  • The machine will stop during diagnostics if an error is found and will display the error code. If no error is found it will complete the diagnostics and end the program.
  • To exit diagnostics at any time just press and hold the start button till the program is cancelled.

Hi just read your posting.Error Code 130 means your fault is called Single Rotor Position Sensor Error. This component is attached to your motor which is underneath your machine. What concerns me is your machine is leaking.Did the Error Code appear the same time your machine started leaking? The reason I am asking this is because the water could have damaged the rotor sensor. Is the water leaking underneath the machine? Please reply with additional information and I can help you rectify this fault.

    E20 error message

replace the control panel or have it repaired, there is no e20 listed as a trouble code,so it needs to be replaced.

To clear latest stored error code:

Place the control into Diagnostic test Mode.
    • Turn the program knob clockwise 9 clicks from the Start Position. The control will signal the last error code.
    • Press and hold the Options and Pause Cancel buttons for 3 seconds. The code will be cleared.
    • Exit Diagnostic Mode to return the washer to normal operation.

MAXX code E01, jets don't work

well first of all i have to assume that this tub is equipped with jet's on the floor and lights,if not then there's no reason for it those buttons to light up, now if it is equipped with these features and your getting a error code all this means is that this tub need to Re Configured to run this type of system, this is something a tech needs to look at because you wouldn't be getting error codes if the tub was configured wrong the reason your getting error codes is because something isn't plugged in correctly at the control box and the computer detected a fault.
