Question about Dell Inspiron 2200 Notebook
Routers/switches are fine if a little past their use by date for a laptop, even if you are not a road warrior most of us in Australia are at present enjoying the 3g broadband network whereby we pay AU$78 for a prepaid broadband dongle it uses the cellphone network at a reasonable (for Australia) 7.5 mbps. The good part is you plug the dongle into a USB port, it loads its own drivers and software and in about 3 minutes you are on line surfing the nett. You can use your old ISPs mail box but I reckon Google Chrome with Gmail (google them) is the fastest, most secure and easiest way to go. Hope you have someone like Vodaphone near you, remember this will need to be in an area or cell which has 3g or 4g coverage. Good luck John
