Dacor cooktop Model # SEC30-1C

We are in a rental house with a Dacor Cooktop. I have never had this type of cooktop and I am wondering how a person cleans the element.
I have always had the element that was rings.
Appreciate any help you can give me.

Guruis this a smooth top? glass? if so gently scrape with a razor blade yes a razor blade. then buff with cerama bryte or comparable cleaner available @ walmart or home depot etc..
