Press and hold the volume knob until the display shows clock adjust.
use the forward and rewind serch buttons (the small arrow buttons next to the volume nob) to switch hour and minute.
use the volume knob to adjust the time. When done press the volume knob to return to normal operation.

Solution 1 and 4 are close. Everything is correct, except that only the right arrow or fast foward is the adjustment, not both. Hitting the right arrow the first time chooses hour, hitting it again chooses minutes.

Kenwood KDC-119 car stereo problem

There is a small hole at the bottom of the stereo face that will reset the system. I pushed a pen tip into the hole and it turned the stereo off. When I removed the pen, the system turned on and the CD ejected. Problem solved.
