That model is famous for the CRTs leaking coolant onto the main board near the vertical output Ic and causing the set not to power up. Check the fuses on the main board and also look for evidence of leaking fluid which often appears as a stcky residue it should appear shiny with a bright flashlight.

I've tried holding the input and menu buttons on the set in together for 5 seconds to see if the light blinks out a code but nothing happens
no codes, no blinking lights, not even a slight click when I hit the power button. reset button does nothing, in fact we've hit and held every button on the remote and the tv and get nada...
04/25/08 Master Electronics 210 653-1117 replaced the power supply and it now works like a dream! Ran $400 but money well spent as this tv blows away every other tv we got in the house including our back up big screen, a 65" RCA lol
