My ps3 is acting funny I'm not sure what's wrong

easy breezy fix, you have to force the ps3 to acknowledge that tv is not hdmi, it is just hd. press and hold power button for 5 seconds on ps3 until you hear 2nd beep and let go. settings will come up for ps3, switch to hd. done

you need to connect to the HDMI input on your tv as well.. thats probably why its not working properly..

i had this problem before :S lsn if ur PS3 under warranty then send it to them and they will give another one but if not, i've been told by a PS3 fixer that he would either remove my PS3 HD and format it through a regular computer and put it back in PS3 or he might change the HD and use a normal laptop HD but let me tell u something before u do it( im not sure where is the OS of PS3 located!! is it installed on the HD or its already inside the PS3 board or whatever it contain from inside) but I THINK that the HD has nothing to do with PS3 OS its just for saving ur data(pics, music,movies....etc) but try to unplug the HD and connect it to ur laptop or PC and format it or unplug it and insert a new one ok

To do this you just need:
Independent PS3 fault report UK
Stating that the fault was there at time of manufacture.

Same thing was happening to me, just reset tthe ps3 and all was fine again, Until one day i was playing confrontation and my blueray drive died. I know this isnt much help but if you are under warranty ide suggest using it.

may be your system is virus infected.

thats funny i was playing call of duty 4 online when it stopped and now i cant play any discs either. did your ps3 stop today as mine did.
