First lets isolate the problem, you have a wiimote that still points, all the buttons still work, but when you swing it, your mii does nothing in say Tennis.
This happened to one my wiimotes after a party, and I was concerned I would have to send it in to get replaced. I looked on their site for help, and got a phone number, but it was too late in the evening for me to get a real person. I tried called back the next afternoon, and they asked me to perform some diagnostic tests, but alas I was at work.
So I phoned again in the evening. Once I got through to a person (which definitely doesn’t take long), I told him the accelerometers in my wiimote weren’t working. He was some what surprised I knew so much about how the wiimotes actually worked, I warned him I was a geek. Once ascertaining the problem he gave me some very technical instructions.
First he told me to place the wiimote in my right palm (assuming I am right handed) rotated 90 degree so that if I were to bring my hands together, my left hand would hit the top face (with the buttons on it) of the wiimote. He then instructed me to whack the wiimote, which I did twice, and now it works perfectly well.
I was pretty impressed. Apparently the micro gyroscope that is inside can get stuck sometimes. This procedure is only advised if only the accelerometers aren’t working.

My wii isn't showing the wii hand on the menu screen or anywhere else so i can't get to anything, so can you please help me.

Make sure the Wii Sensor Bar is correctly plugged into the Wii, and that the Wii Remote has an unobstructed path to the Sensor Bar. Move the Wii Remote around, as the positioning of the Sensor Bar may not be exact. If you've done all of this and the problem persists, it may be that your Wii Sensor Bar is damaged. You may have to buy a new one.
