Question about JVC HD-52Z575 52" HDTV

1 Answer

Cannot see picture....

It was working just fine, then one night we turned the power on and we cannot get a picture or sound. I click the power button, the blue light turns on, I hear the "fan" turn on and then a rattling sound on and off. The small red light over the power button blinks. Immediately after that the blue light also starts to blink and the "fan" turns off. The blue and red lights continue to blink until I unplug it. The power button doesn't turn them off. Please HELP!!

When I turn the TV on, the fan starts for about 20 seconds and then turns off. The blue and red light blink continuously. I just replaced the lamp last month, so that's not the problem.

Was working fine last night ,went to turn it on and you can hear a buzzing by where you plug in your jacks a bee,or high pitch sound.tv has no picture or sound.only sound you hear is this buzzing

Sounds like your power supply is causing the problem. Unplug the TV wait 10 minutes, look in the back for a red button (circuit breaker) push it in. If this does not work you have a low voltage power supply fault.

I have same problem with mine, the power button turns red (as usual) but no picture. When i turned mine on last night it made a crackle noise and thats how it all started. I can even hear the normal sounds it makes as if it were turning on, but still no picture. Its a great tv I would hate to throw away. I want to fix it myself any help would be appreciated!

Power button is green - no blinks / no picture / no sound

Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.

TV turns itself off after a few seconds, no picture at all

As far as fixing goes, you might as well get a new TV... Unless its a LARGE EXPENSIVE HOLY $%^# TV, It will cost more to fix, than to just buy a new one, unless its under warranty, which being an older model as that (or so im reading) It may not be covered.

Try unplugging the TV, and while unplugged, hold down the power button for a full minute (yes, with the plug NOT in the wall) after a minute, plug it back in, and try. Its a hard reset. If it still does not work, and you've tried different outlets, It's probably a repair issue, and you'll need to get someone to fix it, or just junk it :-/
