Fuse ang power transistor was blown when i plug in the tv tosunra brand

Hello Erwin, for what you are saying, you may have a short circuit problem in the input rectifier, in the input regulator, in the PTC, responsible for the demagnetization of the TRC tube and also you may have problems in the Horizontal, FlyBack in short Horizontal output short circuit or transistor
Try disconnecting the horizontal output transistor and the demagnetizing coil and instead of the fuse and connect an incandescent lamp (the one with the filament, not the low power ones) of 150 watts, connect and check if the lamp is turned on completely, you still have a short circuit, check the source diodes and the regulator
If you do not have technical knowledge, contact a specialized technical service

Greetings Franco Dosil

I own an AU-517 sansui since 1979 but now im getting serious feedback from both phono inputs. what might be wrong and is it fixable

Hello Jeff, for what you describe you have problems in the phono preamplifier stage, it is usually solved by making a replacement of transistors, electrolytic capacitors and some fuse resistors
If you are going to do this work, it would be good if you apply it in all the capacitors and low signal transistors of the equipment
It is very important to get good low noise transistors, just as the capacitors are of the highest quality, to maintain the excellent sound of your Sansui AU-517

I have shorted left speaker output by leaving the speaker unplug...the two wire shorted together and blown something, someone got an idea of witch component i should replace? thx

Probably took out the output transistors for that channel. Is the unit dead now? Usually in these models, if the outputs go, it takes out the main power fuse.

The projector would not turn on and had a flashing red light for the lamp. Knowing it was an older projector when we rented the building I purchased a new bulb for this projector. When I put the new bulb...

PROBLEM :-The power supply of the projector is faulty there is a transistor witch is switch 15 volts for the lamp drive board.

SOLUTION: Remove the upper cover with 6 screws back side of the projector.
remove main board and lamp cover with 7 screws.(show in the picture)
remove upper cover of the power supply and lamp drive unit with 3 screws.
remove power supply unit with 4 screws and 3 connectors and put face down on the table.
now you find the transistor no Q107 and replace with the transistor no 2SB710 is and surface mounted compunent(show in the picture)
fix it all as you open.
power ON the projector and enjoy

(doing very carefully This is a technical job)
