Lg flatron e2441 half screen darker

If you get half of the screen darker, remember that LCd monitor have 2 neon lamp at each extremity of the LCD, when one goes out you get this problem. it is possible to replace the LCD neon lamp, I did it many time, but you need to tear all the monitor appart and be carefull not to break any glass while doing so.

LCD screen totally white when turn on

The HP is a flat screen monitor used with many desktop computers. When the LCD on your HP monitor goes white, it is an indication that your monitor's inverter board has gone bad. The inverter board is a small circuit board that transfers power from the monitor's main circuit board to the LCD screen. Replacing the inverter board means dismantling the HP monitor.

1. Power down your computer and unplug the HP monitor cable from the back of your desktop. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the monitor. Relocate the monitor to a flat work surface. Place the monitor with the screen facing downward.

2. Remove the Phillips-head screws from the monitor's base stand and from the back cover. Lift the base stand off of the monitor and remove the back cover. Peel away the foil from inside the monitor around the internal circuit board.

3. Locate the inverter board near the bottom of the monitor's casing. Unplug the power cables from either side of the inverter. Loosen the Phillips-head screws from the inverter board. Lift the old inverter out of the monitor's casing and set it aside.

4. Place the new inverter inside the monitor. Replace the Phillips-head screws and fasten it in place. Reconnect the power cables to the connectors on each side of the new inverter. Replace the foil around the outside of the main circuit board.

5. Replace the back panel and base stand, and their retaining Phillips-head screws

I hope you find it very helpful.
Thank you for choosing

Hp g5000 sreen does not light up as usal, i can see a the start up when i shine a torch at the sreen, what do i need to do to get working.

An LCD screen cannot produce enough light by itself. It needs an additional source of light.
A Backlight is used as the additional light source.

A Backlight is a CCFL.
Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp.
Similar to the Fluorescent lighting used in homes and businesses, but on a MUCH smaller scale.

The LCD screen is a composite of layers, surrounded by a thin metal frame that resembles a picture frame.
To one side of the LCD screen layers, and under the frame is usually where the Backlight is mounted.
[Note* Two Backlights are used in some models]

Replacing a Backlight is more labor intensive than replacing an Inverter.
Due to this, and the cost, the LCD screen itself is replaced as a unit most of the time, when it comes to Backlight replacement.

Example of a replacement LCD screen for the HP G5000 series of Notebook PC's,

[Note* Stating HP G5000 is just stating the model series. When buying replacement parts the EXACT Model Number should be used. This information is located on the bottom of the laptop, in a white Service Tag.

When replacing an LCD screen, the model number of the replacement LCD screen should be matched to the existing LCD screen's Model Number.
Inverters and LCD screens are matched together. Make sure you get the correct part]

An Inverter is used to provide power from the laptop to the LCD screen, and to the Backlight.

Note* 90 Percent of the time the problem is a bad Inverter.

Example of an Inverter for an HP G5000 series notebook PC,

The LCD screen, Top Cover, Display Bezel, Inverter, Backlight, and various screws, make up the Display Assembly.
The Display Bezel made of plastic surrounding the LCD screen, and in front of the LCD screen is removable.
Behind it is easy access to the Inverter.

The Inverter is approximately 4 inches long, and the width of a No.1 pencil.
Usually located at the bottom of the LCD screen, and right behind the Bezel.

This article shows replacing an Inverter and LCD screen on a Compaq Presario v2000 series Notebook PC,

This pictorial guide is not for the HP G5000 series Notebook PC, but the models are very similar when it comes to Inverter replacement.
The above link is to show you what is involved.

Generally the keyboard is removed first then you can tackle the LCD. I'm surprised you are replacing it as LCDs are expensive.

Children destroyed screen on new HP Pav dv6 -1245dx. How hard to re[lace screen?

They are fairly easy to replace. There should be 6 rubber screw caps/bumpers around the bezel of the lcd. Remove the covers and the phillips screws underneith. Gently remove the front bezel. Take your time doing this, because they use some adhesive strips around the sides as well as some clips. If your not careful, you will crack the bezel. Once removed there should be about 3 screws on either side of the lcd holding it to the hinges. Remove these screws. Unplug the backlight from the inverter board at the bottom of the lcd and the main flex cable from the back of the unit. Installation is the reversal of disassembly. A new LCD can be purchased on ebay for around $110-150.

Replacing lcd screen on HP dv4-1120us laptop

No Problem, it is good that you think then act as opposed to the other way around. For you LCD, I would go to Ebay, type in "HP dv4-1120us LCD", and see what i could come up with. For your removal Instructions, i can help you there. I can walk you through it. ----------------------------------------------------------REMOVE THE BATTERY-------------------------------------------------------- You wil want to identify some parts first. Look at your laptop, and you will see it is comprised of 2 components, a lid and a base. Looking at the lid, you will see that there is a small plastic frame around the LCD. On this frame there is Generally a few rubber bits, although you will need to look closely to see them. Take a philips flathead screwdriver and remove them. Underneath you will see some small screws, carefully remove them. Then slowly prise this frame off, known as a bezel. Then the rest is easy. Put your hand in front of the LCD, and gently tip the laptop. The LCD will fall into your hand. If it doesn't try to get it out with the screwdriver. Then, carefully holding the screen, remove any connectors that hold the screen to the board. Memorize what cable goes where. Put this LCD down. Get a new one from ebay, and carefully remove it from the packaging. Then hold it like you did with the first, connect the cables where they go, push it into place, place the bezel aka the frame back on, and screw it in. If the rubber is no longer sticky, regular glue such as crazy glue, or gorrilla glue will work. Place the rubber bits back on the screen and your good to go.

Please note that incorrect or loose cable placement could cause undesired effects. If a cable needs force to go in, check that this is the right cable, you may damage the port and cable. If lines or flickering occurs, check the connecter of the screen. Pull them out, blow on them, put them back in, if the flickering resumes, i would call the manufacterer from ebay, for a warranty refund.

Good Luck

Broke lcd

Start by removing the screws for the screen bezel, the plastic cover around the screen, then the bezel snaps off. Be careful not to break it, they break very easily. The screws are hidden/located under stick tabs or the small rubber bumpers. Once you have the bezel off you will see the screws holding the screen, and the screen and inverter connectors. The rest is self explanatory, the screen goes back in the same as it came out. HP's support site has many service manuals and illustrated instructions for many of their machines. So, keep this in mind if you get stuck.
