Hi, Can you please be a little more specific on what you are wanting to here. Has the Dell got a CD/DVD drive and a hard drive inside them?

Cannot format my optiplex 760 partition

Hi.

Because you are unable to format or delete the partition then I'm afraid that this is a strong indication that you need to replace the hard drive, this is probably due to bad sectors and clusters that the drive cannot read or write to.

Regards.

My dell optiplex gx520 has detected sata hdd on bios but cannot boot. i have been compare the hdd to another dell cpu and its work.

the reason why windows won't reconize it as a boot drive is because you have to format the harddrive to NTFS. You have to connect it as a secondary drive on another machine and format it. To do this you have to
click on start, right click on 'computer' and click on 'manage'. Once on 'computer management' click on 'disk management' and select the disk you want to format, right click on it can click 'format'.
Hope this helps.

I have a dell optiplex gx 620 put in with new wd sata 500gb hard drive but will only show 130 gb

maybe the hard drive is not yet recognized by the system. try to reformat your hard drive by using disc management. got to control panel, performance and maintenance, administrative tools, computer management. under storage, click disc management, right click on the new hard disc drive and click format.

DRIVERS DOENLOAD PROPLEM

A possible solution... Sometimes Dell's website screws with you. Try this. Go to the correct page for downloading your drivers. Now clear your cookies. (If you skip this it won't work). When you attempt to download your first driver a popup will ask you if you want to use the download manager or your browser. Chose browser. If you are having the same problem that I have had, this should fix it.

Miss match hd on a dell gx280

Hi, I have had lots of experience installing hard drives. You never get exactly 80gb when it is partioned. Some space is utilized for other things that cannot be used. So you aren't doing anything wrong. Just another way companies can make you think your getting more then you really are.
