I have two infant summer best color hand held video montors and cameras. One is in each of my kids bedroom. Kid #1 "s monitor stopped working this morning. The screen has lines through it and then the shuts itself off. I tried to then add Kid #1's camera to Kid #2's monitor. This didn't help but caused more problems.

Now I can only view Kid #1's room on Kid #2's monitor and it has a delayed picture and I cannot move the camera or zoom. I cannot get Kid #2's monitor to re-synch with its original camera. Now, basically none of the camera's work.

SOURCE: I have a Summer Infant Monitor. Model 2010. The

I was unable to find any direct information on a Model 2010 Infant Monitor. The picture shown by Fixya is of an LCD handheld monitor.

If I understand the problem correctly, you are seeing a picture that is only 1/2" wide in the center of a 4" or 5" CRT (similar to one of the three CRT models presently shown on the Summer Infant site. You did not state whether it is full height, or if it is a complete picture rather than simply truncated at the sides.

If it is a complete full-height picture, but squashed into a 1/2" vertical stripe, the vertical deflection is OK but you have a problem with the horizontal deflection. Since you have more or less full brightness (you did not mention any problems with that), the horizontal oscillator is working and producing the proper 2nd anode voltage through the flyback transformer. In many small black and white CRT monitors the horizontal deflection current is coupled through a non-polarized electrolytic capacitor. If this is going bad, it will produce this symptom.

If the entire picture is undersized and dim, you may have a power supply problem - if it is also erratic and you hear snapping sounds, it's could be the flyback transformer. If the picture goes edge-to-edge horizontally, but is squashed into a 1/2" high strip, you have a coupling problem in the vertical deflection circuit. A non-functional vertical oscillator will give you a single line across the center. A malfunctioning vertical oscillator will give you a rolling image.

Have you checked the safety recall information on these infant monitors? The two primary issues are keeping the cables away from the baby, and battery rupture problems on certain models.

Why does it keep "saying" out of range?

if camera and base are within a few feet of one another does it have a problem obtaining a signal (syncing ) ?? as if it works ok then there might be a object that is getting in the way of the signal , radio waves move from its transmitter (camera) towards its receiver (monitor) in a straight line , if there is too large a mass in the way then the radio wave can't penetrate it and will be "lost" also ck both the camera's and bases battery levels (if they have one) for proper peak power level , as it takes energy to drive the radio signal towards its receiver .

Summer infant baby monitor has frozen screen

My monitor was stuck on one of my cameras and when I turned it off and on again it was stuck in the hello screen. I took the battery out and put it in again. Then I pressed the button on the left (I have a best view) and pressed the right arrow key until I got to the view can screen. It turns out something was wrong with just one of my cameras as I could view the other one. I unplugged and replugged that camera and that solved my problem!

Turn on both camera and monitor. Bring the monitor close to the camera. Press menu button and scroll down to "add camera"
Press and hole the pairing button on the back of the camera and press and hold the centre button on the monitor and hold for a few seconds. The monitor should soon show what the camera sees. Then just close up menu.

My baby somehow deleted the camera that came with the monitor and I do not know how to add a camera. How do I add the camera back to the monitor?

I know I can easily go through and delete the bad ones once I view them on a larger screen or have had time to soak them in - but the fact is by the time I find time to do just that, I've already accumulated quite a few hundred photos and then its a daunting task.

My monitor has lost its pitcher and is saying no camera

The camera is not transmitting an RF signal to the tv, check to make sure the camera is receiving power, if okay! the camera must be dismantled to see if any wires or plugs have come loose.
