Hello, We have 144 HVAC units in hotel. We do not have drain to release condensation water, as a result water flows through walk way and makes it wet.

Common problem at hotels. Affordable Solution choices are to (1)catch in container (drain daily), (2)catch in channel or tube and direct along building to better drain site or into groove in cement (cut one if needed) leading to rain gutter. Finally there are higher cost solutions, which are (1) Pump style. Small plastic pump and water resivoir are set below and drainage goes into device using pvc (typically) clear vinyl or pvc is then directed from pump up hill or wall or anywhere you want it to go to find good drain site or garden patch. Pump is electric and will need to be plugged or wired in and will pump out water as it collects. (2) They make electric water evaporator units that catch the water and heat it up so that it evaporates faster than the container can fill up. this may be available through daewoo and could possibly be installed inside or just below the unit.

Leaking ac

Hello, if this is a window AC make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about a 1/4 inch. Also, if there is a drain outlet make sure itnis not blocked and not allowing the condensate to flow.

My fujitsu asu9rlq leaks water into house

Hello, first make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about 1/4 inch to help the condensate flow to the back of the unit. If the unit has a drain it will be under the unit usually toward the back near the condenser. Some window units do not have drains, instead they use the condenser fan blade to scoop up the condensate and splash the condenser to keep it cool and evaporate the condensate. So if you do not see a drain plug on the bottum the unit it does not have one.

I have a 2006 saturn ion 2. Just recently, my ac is draining into the passenger floor board. How do i fix this ?

Bulletin No.: 03-01-39-011B
Date: November 22, 2005
Water Leaks Into Passenger Compartment Through HVAC Module Condensate Drain Tube When Parked on Incline/Uphill Position (Install Auxiliary Drain Tube Extension)
2003-2006 Saturn ION Sedans and Coupes
This bulletin is being revised to include the 2005 and 2006 model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-01-39-011A (Section 01 - HVAC).
When vehicle is parked on an incline with the front end up during a rainstorm or when driving uphill during a rainstorm, water may leak into the passenger compartment through the condensate drain tube opening of the HVAC module.
Water may drain out of the cowl drain, then drain down the front of the dash panel in the engine compartment and seep into the HVAC module condensate drain tube opening. The water then collects in the heater core cover and upon acceleration may leak into the passenger compartment through the heater core cover seams.
Correction 1. Open the hood and locate the HVAC module condensate drain tube in the engine compartment on the right side of the dash panel.
Important: During installation of the auxiliary drain tube, do not make contact with the HVAC module foam gasket located at the base of the HVAC module condensate drain tube. If the auxiliary drain tube is pushed on too far and makes contact with the foam gasket, water may leak into the passenger compartment.
2. Slide the auxiliary drain tube onto the HVAC module condensate drain tube and make sure that the auxiliary drain tube is angled downwards after installation.cansmo_121.gifcansmo_122.gif

I have a window air conditioner that is leaking water on the inside. we've have 90+ temps now for 5 days straight.

The problem you're having is usually a result of the condensation pan under the unit has a clogged drain hole. In addition, if the outer exterior of the unit is not tilted down 1/4' to 1/2", water backs up in the condensation pan and can not flow toward the drain hole.

Clearing the drain hole and being sure the unit is tilted enough, should solve the problem.

My hitachi Ac is leaking

Check the drain which can be blocked and is pitting out the water which has resulted out of condensation.
Usually the water flows out through the drain after falling on the base of the window unit and flows out. If the base plate is worn out it can leak. so check this out.
If this is the split type then the condensation must flow out through the collection tray into the drain tube . If the drain is choked or is worn out the water can leak.

I have a 4 ton Ruud HVAC system that is two years old. It is a 13 SEER unit. It is tilted slightly to the front of the evaporator to aid in draining the condensate. Two days ago, my daughter came home...

If the condensate drain is clogged, water will stay in the condensate pan located below the evaporator.
As the water builds it most certinly will be picked up by the blower and travel through the duct work.

Water was leaking inside on passengers side, now

HVAC drain tube was blocked and condensation could not drain to the outside of the vehicle

as a result the water pooled inside the HVAC case leaking on the inside and killing your blower motor and probably blower motor resistor

clear the drain, replace the blower and resistor and you'll be back in business

Too much water condensation

Check your condensate drain. It could be plugged. Or perhaps you have a crack in the drain pan.

under the passenger side firewall at the bottom by the floor board youll see a rubber hose or nipple, shove a rod or coat hanger inside hose until you see nothing but clear water run out. you may even use the good old water hose to flush it out
good luck

Hello Cheryl, what they are talking about is a drain. As air conditioners run they collect moisture from the air on the evap(in cooling mode) or condenser ( in heat mode). This moisture will run off the part and flow into the tray. In the cooling mode, the moisture is slung onto the condenser to help cool it down, thus be more effective. I always recommend once a year remove the unit and clean all the coils and oil the fan motor. Household oil will work for this. During this cleaning find and clean out the drain. If it gets clogged that water can run back into the home. The PC pipe is sometimes attached to the unit to direct the water to a designated place. These units are common in hotels and they use the pipe to keep the water from dripping on the guest as they walk under the windows. Hope this helps.
