A master reset will return the handset to the default factory settings and erase all personal information on the handset. All important information should be backed up before proceeding.
With the handset turned off, press and hold both the Volume Up key and the Power key until the Samsung logo is displayed.
Note: To turn the handset off completely, remove and reinsert the battery. it is capable of using facial recognition to access the phone once you set it up that way

My Samsung Impression A877 is lock out...... I forgot my password....... And I want to reset it...... from the phone lock screen....? Can anyone help me please!!!!

  1. Pull out the battery, and then reinstall it. Power on the phone and you should be able to access your information.

The following procedure will allow you to perform a factory reset, which would require access to the Standby Screen, and Menu. If you are just trying to access your phone, reset the battery.

To reset the handset to the factory default settings, follow the steps below:
  1. From the standby screen, press Menu
  2. Press Settings
  3. Press Reset Settings
  4. Press on any of the following to check their boxes:
    • All: Sound Profiles, Display & Light, Phone and Alarm settings will be returned to default values
    • Sound Profiles: Only sound profile settings will be returned to default values
    • Display and Light: Only display settings will be returned to default values
    • Phone: Only phone settings will be returned to default values
    • Alarms: Only alarm settings will be returned to default values
  5. Press Reset
  6. Enter the password default password is "0000", then press OK
  7. If prompted, Enter the password again to confirm then press OK
  8. Press Yes to Reset the handset's settings to the factory defaults

My sister forgot the password to her phone

im sorry about that! the problem is all your info will be lost. you need to enter the following steps which will reset your code, but will also reset your phone and information. i found this at t-mobile.com/forums.

A phone lock or security code on most Samsung handsets can be overridden by performing a full reset on the device. This will set the security codes on the handset back to the default eight zero's (00000000).

Important: This reset restores the original factory settings and will erase all downloaded content, including ringtones, images, programs, and contacts stored in the internal memory. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available). Make sure you have backed up contacts, calendar appointments, and other data before continuing.

1. Power off the handset

2. Remove the battery

3. Remove the SIM card

4. Reinsert battery ONLY

5. Turn handset on

6. At the Insert SIM prompt screen enter the following code: *2767*2878#

NOTE: If using a handset that was released after July 2009 use this code: *2767*3855#

7. The handset should display E2P custom reset

8. Power off handset

9. Reinsert SIM card

10. Power on handset

11. The phone should be unlocked

NOTE: If you didn't get a E2P custom reset or a Full reset message on the handset your Samsung model may need an MCK code. You will have to call technical support for this code. Please have your IMEI number ready to expedite the process for this code. Your IMEI number is located on a label on the back of the phone, under the battery.

How to unlock it

We can provide remote unlocking codes for 99% of Samsung handsets cheaply and very quickly.
There is no need to send the handset to us, all we need is the IMEI (serial number) of the handset which can viewed by pressing *#06# on the handset keypad.
The cost for this is £12 or €15 and your unlock code is returned within 48 hours, although usually alot quicker :-)
Drop us a mail at sales@phonezonescotland if you want more information and we will be happy to help.

SAMSUNG SGH-E250 puk blocked

Hi everyone

Every PUK code is unique so nobody can tell you your PUK number, but i will tell you what you can do!
1) If you still have your packet that your Sim Card came in, you should find your PUK number in there, if you don't have the packet, please read bellow.

2) You must get a phone that is on the same network as your phone and call the networks Customer Care and ask them for your PUK number, they will ask you for your phone number, then they will tell you your PUK number. Once you have done this, you will be able to reset your Pin number so you will be able to go into your phone again.

Please also remember to give me a good rating on my profile.

Kind regards
Dustin Ellse
