Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Does my Bosch Exxcel 1200 express have an internal fuse? I had to pull the washing machine out this morning and I must have pulled the power cable too much as it blew the power in my kitchen. I have re tripped the main fuse but the machine will not come on. I have changed the fuse in the plug.

Sorry we can not fix what we can not physically see . but would suspect you pulled an internal connection loose .

SOURCE: Bosch Exxcel 1200 Express Washing

I had the same problem- machiine not spinning and a few days later not turning at all. Display would go from 11min to 1min.
I did 2 things - 1) changed the brushes on the motor- cost £7.50 .
2) whilst working under the machine disconnected pipe from drum to pump and emptied it- found 2 coins in the bellows.

I would suggest that you remove the motor, and check the brushes for wear.
If they are less than 3 or 4mm long, then they need to be replaced.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: bosch exxcel 1200 express washing

I had F63 on Bosch washing machine (Maxx 7). I waited 5 days for a repairman and all he did was reset the washing machine processor, like this: 1. Turn the program knob to 6 o'clock 2. Hold the RPM button 3. While the RPM button is held, turn the program knob 1 click clockwise (to Rinse) 4. Release the RPM button.
This is similar to F21 which also happened to my machine. Apparently both errors are related to power surge/power cut.

I have a Bosch Exxcel 1400 S Express which blew

There is no internal fuse in the washer to replace.
If you have replaced the fuse, make sure that is is a good one.
If you are satisfied that you have power to the washer, then I'm afraid it sounds quite serious.
Trust this helps.
