Question about RCA RT2380 System

Front left speaker problem

Good day, I have a speaker problem, with Creative Inspire 7.1. My front left speakers sounds a bit dull, and is a bit softer compared to the rest. I extended the cables, RCA, using female-female couplers, and another rca cable. Is it possible one of these couplers might be faulty, being the one my front left speakers is using ? Have had one do that in the past with my brother's speakers, but I don't know how common it is. Will switching it with a different one maybe fix the problem ? The front right and center seems a lot clearer, like the treble aspect is a lot better. I have switched ports and it stays the same, definitely the speaker or the cabling.

The total length of the cable is about 6 meters.... but I've joined them with a female-to-female coupler. about 3m + 3m cable that I bought. Could this be a problem ? Can't switch the cables as they're stock connected to the speaker... Also running through the roof so can't switch the extensions without some hassle, 1st want to know what kind of problem it might be. I also just want to know, is it possible that the female-female coupler is faulty, as I've said before I have seen this. Would be much easier just to switch that part in the roof, as to redoing the whole cabling.

The best way to confirm is to switch the speakers from the left to the right with the same cable . If your speakers sound good, then we have to check the cable. However if your speaker is sounding dull then there is no doubt that your speaker is faulty. So check this interchange. Also reduction of treble is when you cable length goes beyond a limit and also is related to bad cable quality. Tryto reduce the length and you have a solution . Hope this helps. Good day

The use of 6mts with a coupling can be a damper. Cant' you switch the speakers , remove the mountings and connect. The you can be confirmed of the wiring. It is ideal to use good quality wires in one single length , so please try to confirm the speakers seperately for performance- even connect them to another system taking te speakers out of the ffittings. This once confirmed you will have to make the changes to your wiring . good day

I HVE INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 IN MY DESKTOP BUT CREATIVE INSPIRE M5300 5.1 SPEAKERS ONLY 2 FRONT SPEAKERS ARE WORKING WHT IS THE PROBLEM

Windows 7 only installs generic drivers for your sound card.
you must go to the creative site and download their "software/drivers-package" for windows 7 and from there choose 5.1 mode. ( on my system its called "Audio control panel"
Start - creative - audio control panel

I have creative 5 CE MMS 4250 speakers with woofer. I have a new computer with windows 7 and only able hear sound from the front speakers

To get all 5 speakers, you will probably have to get a new sound card, one that is 5.1 compatible. Most computers with on-board sound will ship with only support stereo sound. If you look at where you plug in your speakers, if there are only 3 slots, you have only stereo sound. If there are more, you may have to plug into different spots on the sound card.

Good Luck,
Rodrick

I cannot seem to get the driver working on my new computer which has windows 7 currently. Are the two compatible?

Are we looking at this same computers? Since when do you require drivers for speakers?!? Speakers are dumb devices (yes, this is correct name for passive computer devices) and do not require any drivers in any computer or operating system with sound capability! Computer speakers are compatible with any copmuter in the world and any operating system which generate sound!

These speakers are qualified as 5.1, that meant that these speakers will have front bass, front centre speaker, front left and right speaker and rear left and right speaker, in total six speakers.

Please follow this advice and you will have joy of surround sound.

1. Mount your subwoofer in front centre, below your knee level at the distance of about 2 of your hights
2. Mount your centre speaker in the centre on your head/hight level or slightly above at same distance as subwoofer or slightly closer.
3. Mount left front speaker about 45degree from your centre line to the left and right same distance to your right, on the level of your head while you are listening to the music, distance from you slightly closer (about 1/2 your hight) than your centre speaker.
4. Mount your rear left and right speakers at same or slightly greater distance as front left and right speaker. these should be at same or slightly higher level as front speakers.
5. Triple 3.5mm jack is going to your computer output and your speakers (incidently, your subwoofer servers as junction box, amplifier and mixer).
6. Connect speakers to they respective jacks.
7. Turn power on speakers all way down
8. Connect power to the speakers and switch it on
9. Play some music on your computer, output on full, music recommended will be some classic, like bach or similar
10. Put your hand in front of subwoofer and turn bass till you feel vibration
11. Turn sound till you hear it well
12. Turn sound on the computer down till about 70% - 80%
13. Turn on sound on your speakers till desired level and enjoy the experience!

If you have still some problems, these can be then related to the drivers installed on your computer, please check therefore what motherboard do you have, if there is proper sound drivers installed. If not, go to the site of our motherboard/sound card manufacturer and install relevant drivers.

Please do not hesitate to ask me if you have any addtional problem related to this particular issue.

Front right speaker has no sound i have creative 5.1 live sound blaster and all was good but now i dnt now why its not working i have checked the card and all the cords they are all fine

In order to verify if you have a good speaker,, connect you speaker to any other pc or laptop. If still same problem,,maybe you have a bad cable or connector at the end of the cable.
