Try replacing the batteries with a fresh and make sure the alignment is correct. Once done, press connect button on the receiver and then connect button on the mouse. Is the light on the receiver lighting up, or not? If it doesn't, it could be that either the receiver or the USB port doesn't work. In this case, try the receiver in a different port. If it still does not light up, then there is a problem with the receiver and you may need to get it replaced, if it is under warranty.
If the receiver works in the other USB port, it could be that your USB port is faulty. Hope this helps...

Targus wireless mouse stopped working model amw05ca. When I reset it may work for a minute than stop again

This may be a "duh", BUT, have you checked the battery of the mouse? You can either test the battery with a mutlimeter for its charge, and most likely, it would be gone, or simply replace the battery.

How to set up and use targus wireless computer mouse model#amw26

Under the mouse there should be a usb stick attached to the mouse which most likely should slide out from the mouse. It also appears that the plastic cover behind the two buttons (this cover has targus written on it) Should come off. After you remove the usb stick there might be a button somewhere on the bottom of the mouse that you should be able to press to get the battery cover to pop up. Then you should be able to pull up on the battery cover and remove it from the mouse. This mouse takes two AA batteries. Once the batteries are installed then plug the usb stick into any of the usb ports on the computer. The computer should recognize the drivers for this mouse (if you are using Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Mac OS X [or higher]). If the drivers are not immediately recognized then restart your computer and the computer should then recognize the mouse. If this still does not happen then let me know. Also there is software that can be downloaded from the Targus website for the tilt wheel as it has some added capabilities that can be set using this software. The link for that software is here ------> http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=AMW26US

I hope this helps, and enjoy that mouse, it looks pretty nice!

I've charged my Targus wireless mouse (PAKP003U) and plugged in the USB adapter thing, making sure the light is on. The mouse is on also, but it is still not working.

Your windows computer must install the drivers for the wireless adapter for your mouse when you plugged it in. Given that the light is on the adapter I'm assuming it works.

There should be a small button on the mouse and the adapter somewhere. Press the button with a paperclip or something small enough to get to it and the light should start flashing. Now press the button on the mouse. Both lights should be on solid.

This connects both the adapter and mouse on the same wireless channel to work together.

Good Luck!

Un-install the mouse driver. Disconnect the wireless mouse hup and shut down your computer. Re-attach your wireless mouse hub and your computer should reconize the hardware and automaticaly install the hardware driver.
