Hi and welcome to Fixya,

I would start by first shutting off the breaker.

Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom ) and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance".

The end result is no power to the controls. Check it out and post back what you find.

Thanks for visiting "fixya" and please take a moment to rate the solution/suggestion provided here for you.

Good luck.

My 98 lumina has a constant power draw from somewhere. I just replace the battery and had the alt tested (it was good). I have to jump the dang thing every morning but if I drive it enough during the day...

The alternator may charge fine but could drain the battery through a bad diode, have you checked the alt for a bad diode?Disconnect the battery positive cable.Put a regular 12v test light between the battery positive post and the positive battery cable. If the test light is bright you do have a drain,if dim it is OK.A dim light may mean the drain is internal in the battery. If you do have a bright light remove a fuse ,one at a time from the fuse box until the light goes dim.Once dim you have identified the bad circuit. If removing all fuses do not dim the light, disconnect the alt charging wire at the alt,if that dims the light, then you do have a bad diode.DO NOT create a drain(bright light) when checking for the drain by turning on the key or opening a door/trunk etc.
Also,do an overnight battery check by disconnecting the battery overnight,if things are fine the next morning after the battery was disconnected then it is a drain in the vehicle,if the battery is dead even after being disconnected overnight,,then the battery is bad.

SOMETHING KEEPS DRAINING MY BATTERY,CHANGED ALTERNATOR STILL BATTERY GETTING DRAINED

HI. Here is a procedure I use to isolate a battery drain. Remove the negative battery cable from the battery. Using a 12-volt test light, hook one end to the negative battery post the other end to the negative battery cable you just disconnected. The test light will glow or "light" if there is a drain. If the "light or glow" is faint, that is probably normal draw for the clock or computer. If the "light or glow" is bright, this will indicate a large drain is present. That should be corrected, asap. Now start removing and replacing the fuses one by one until the light goes out; The one fuse that causes the light to shut off, will be the circuit with the drain. Remember to close the car doors, when testing. If not, the interior doom light will interfere with the results of the test.

The light for the drain glog is on and I lifted the strainer cover off and cannot get the light to go off or the machine to continue draining....

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
The light is on as the unit won't drain or is unable to drain due to blockage in the drain hose. This problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a 1992 Nissan pickup with a brand new battery & a tested good starter. What could be draining my battery?

The way I track down battery drains is by disonnecting the negative battery cable and connecting a 12volt test light between the negative cable end and the negative post. If there isn't a drain then the tiny test light should be off. [with all the doors shut, lights off, and ignition key out] If the light is bright or glows even a tiny bit then you have a drain. A more sophisticated version of this test is to use a digital multimeter in place of the test light. Anything over about 50 miliamperes [.050 amps] of drain is too much, Your Nissan will probably have 20 or less miliamperes of drain if all is well. If you do have a drain then start with the simple things. Make sure the dome light and all other small lights are going off when the door is shut. If they are then I start pulling fuses one by one until I find the one that turns out the little light or reduces the miliampere reading to normal and then see what that fuse powers. Always be carefull when working around batteries and wear eye protection. It's rare but I have seen an alternator with bad diodes cause a similar drain. Disconnecting the alternator leads in this case should also cause the light to go out if it is the cause. Aftermarket radios, CD players, and auto starts can also be a source of drains.

I have a slow drain on my car battery. I puller

Use a 12volt test light between the positive battery post and the positive cable with the positive cable disconnected from the battery.
Keep key off.
You will see the test light "light" with any drain.

Any drain showing a dim test light is..... OK
Any drain showing a bright light is.....BAD

Disconnect items (fuses) one at a time and watch the light.
Keep the doors closed....the inside dome light is a drain with the door open!
After fuses are checked....disconnect the alt if needed and watch the light.
Keep going until you get rid of the bright light.
