Hi

  • Go to a website that has a quick alpha-to-numeric converter. (See Resources for the converter used for these instructions.)
  • Step 2 Type the word to convert in the box marked "Alphanumeric Number Entry". You can put the entire number in here, such as "1-800-nnn-Gold."
  • Step 3 Click the "Convert to Numeric" button.
  • Step 4 Look at the box next to "Converted Numeric Representation" to find what the letters stand for as numbers.
  • Step 5 To convert alpha to numeric without using a converter program from a website, simply look at your phone. Under or above each number on the phone are a few letters. For example, "ABC" is listed under or over the "2."
  • Step 6 Convert each letter one at a time using this code on your phone. For example, "1-800-nnn-ACAR" would have the last 4 digits of "2227" because "A" and "C" are listed with "2" and "R" is with "7."

You apparently misread the concern. When the "P" key is hit, the "*" is shown on screen and when "k" is hit 2 shows on screen.

'tab' button doesn't work on Motorola MC3190

You get 3 different keypad models of the Motorola MC3190:
    - 28 Key Numeric
    - 38 Key Shifted Alpha
    - 48 Key Alpha Numeric

So depending on the type of keyboard your model has, using TAB are different across these 3 keypads.

Please Note: Keypad functions can be changed by an application so the mobile computer keypad may not function as described.

When the FUNC button is pressed the icon "F" appears on the taskbar on WinCE devices or the icon "Blue Circle" appears at the bottom of the screen on Windows Mobile 6.1 devices.

In order to use the TAB function, do the following:

28 Key Numeric - Press the blue FUNC button (Bottom right next to Power button), and press the RIGHT ARROW button.

38 Key Shifted Alpha - Press the blue FUNC button (Right side below RIGHT ARROW button), and press the RIGHT ARROW button.

48 Key Alpha Numeric - Press the blue FUNC button (Right side below ENTER button) and press the number 9 button.

Asus Netbook - Keyboard locked on numbers

The number lock key has been pressed, press the NumLk key to turn off the number keys. There is a LED light that turns on when the NumLk key is press, just like the Caps lock key.

The upside down display is caused by unintentional pressing Ctrl-Alt plus the down arrow key.
Restore by pressing Ctrl-Alt plus the up arrow key.
    ALSO
To change the display from portrait to landscape
Press Ctrl-Alt plus a left or right arrow key.

I cant undo the fn key on the mini note

You should be able to turn off the built in numeric keypad by pressing the fn key and the num lk simultaneously. The num lk is directly above the +/= key. If after doing this you still find you only momentarily turn off the numeric keyboard then there is another underlying issue. At that point you should take your unit to your area HP repair center.

As you press the keys it will cycle thru the small letters first then the capital of the same letters then numbers just take your time and you will get it to go to the numbers.

Did you try to use the "alpha key"? Press the number key that has the letter you need, then keep pressing the alpha key to get the letter you need.

How do you enter an address when taking a phone order?

When entering in an address for a sale, you usually only need to put in the numbers of the street address. If your system does require letters, hit the number that goes along with that letter (example: 1 would have A-C) and then hit the alpha button until the number is changed to the letter you want.
