is there any way to confirm its door latch part on the he3t lights are on but not locking or starting

I have the same problem.

The door locks but will not unlock. Had someone come out, they just took it apart to get unlocked to get the clothes out. What is wrong? Is it something we can repair or does it need a service call?

I get the alarm code F/dl which means door locking problem. How do I get to the door lock assembly? I am afraid to pull at the boot too much to get it off and when I removed the screws to take the front panel off, the boot appeared to want to move with the whole thing. Is it just the rubber cement that is holding the boot in place? I can unscrew the 2 screws holding the door lock assembly in order to remove it but still can't get to the assembly behind the boot. My machine is an HE3, model #110.42932 200

you can try removing the lower aceess panel, behind there ,usually tapes to the inner wall is a tech sheet/ diagnostic chart. inthere it will explain how to check each component individually. there s a master diag mode, im not sure how to enter with the sears version, only familliar with the whirlpool(same machine different control panel)it will test all components though

Same as Whirlpool,hit drain/spin then select no spin for spin speed and press prewash until all lights lightup. It will test the electrical functionality. Yes the tech sheet is behind the kick panel .
