Question about Computers & Internet
Hi fixya i have presented this problem a few days ago but no luck yet. i have a Panasonic Workio DP-180 multifunction printer scanner copier and fax and I'm using Windows xp Pro SP3 on a home network. I have given the device its own ip address and everyone on the network can print copy and fax but not scan. i have downloaded all the latest network drivers for printers and scanners from the Panasonic website but no luck. I have fiddled with Document Manager and Job Status Utility but cannot even see a scanner in Control panel. i have installed "network Device locator". please What am I doing wrong? cheers jim Barnes

Go to Start\Programs\Panasonic and look for the "Network MFP Utilities"
There is a "Network Scanner Configuration" software that create
s a "Location" for the scanner. The location can well be a network drive or a shared folder on your computer.
Once you create the location, the scanner will pick it up automatically so when you want to scan, you will be able to select the destination (i.e. the location you created)
You can create several locations to be able to save scanned docs in more than one place.
