Whats does msc stand for

MSC stands for mass storage center.
MTP stands for media transfer protocol.

You can go to settings and change PC preferences. Use MSC if its not detected by your computer. Use MTP when using windows media player or songbird.

I am not able to access my files from my sandisk lil monsta

Hi

I can understand your situation. When you say having problem in accessing files from sandisk player. Then first make sure that the device is in MTP or MSC mode. Normally if we want to access the files of MP3 through the computer it advised that it should be in MSC mode. So ensure that its in MSC mode. Then connect it to the computer.

If you want to know how to change the mode to MSC

Press MENU,
Go to SETTINGS
Go to USB MODE
From there you can change from MTP or MSC mode.

Enter usb2.0 msd mode - pls help

Usb mode is in settings push center button choose between msc or mtp....

MSC will allow you to see the expansion card mtp won't.....MTP shows you your music folder in the media folder thats where you put your music plus expansion.....If no usb mode the player is manufactored to be in msc mode.... make sure your usb 2.0 driver is installed....... Connect to the mother board.. MSC is best create a music1 folder and put music in there then there is no switching back and forth to mtp ms....MSC can sync the player and the expansion card

Really i cannot install my walkman always i got

Try going into the Menu on the Coby player and changing the MTP to MSC (I believe that format should work). The computer should then recognize it and work. Let me know how this works out for you.

The difference is that when you have your device on MTP mode, its recognize as a Portable device...You cant modify the settings on MTP mode...When its on MSC mode, its recognize as a disk drive...thats when you can modify the drive files..to change the mode..go to menu, settings, USB mode and there you should find the MSC and MTP mode..Hope that helps

hmmm i'm not familiar with the problem but try this.

First open your mp3 player and go to settings. Under the USB menu change it to MSC. Then plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Open the My Computer on your desktop, right click on the Sansa mp3 player and click Format. Make sure Fat32 is checked and Quick format is UNchecked. Then format the mp3 player. After that it should be clean and work just like a USB drive.

Let me know if this helps!
