Computer question. I don't have any audio, not even the start up chords. Real player won't play, nor will windows media player. One error message said I had no wave device installed. Another said something about a driver.

    Dell dimention 3000 running xp

I don't think I know what a mother board is

there are two numbers on the back of it

    1N87561

    CN-OG6391-70821-4A7-75B7

I tried 5 times to download speccy, I donated 20 bucks and it still won't work, so now I'm out over $30. I hope something good happens pretty soon.

    Thanks for the reply.

Kindly check the "Device Manager" to see whether all the drivers are installed properly.

To open the "Device Manager", right-click on the "My Computer" icon on the Desktop. Then select "Properties"

Then in the "System Properties" menu, click on the "Hardware" tab. Then click on the "Device Manager" button.

Under the device manager, click to expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" link. Check whether there are any Yellow Exclamation marks next to any device/hardware.

Kindly reply with the findings. Thanks.

Hi , i am trying to play a movie in div x player and windows media player, but a system message is poping out that i need to install directshow codec 8192. can anyone help me to sort this out....

Here you go, if you only have the divx player to try and get this to work, uninstall it and forget about it. Download the following program, run the setup fallow the instructions Tell it to to use both windows media player classic and windows media player. Read the questions carefully because if you don't assign a media extension for it to assign codecs for it won't play them. So when it's lists (avi,mpeg,mpeg4, etc.) Pretty much click all the box's, always choose stereo for audio options, last I checked 5.1 was still glitchy. That is about all don't mess with the codec and vendor choices until you become more familiar with codecs. Actually you will probably never need to just answer the questions at start up carefully. If you don't know what to do during the setup just ask question here. You should be fine, just don't get impatient and clicking box's, and everything will be fine. You don't have to open anything again, it does everything for you after it is installed. The End..... Hope this was Helpful.

Ihave music india on line installed but I cant play any music

You have software conflict on playing online music. Uninstall real player or go to real player or media player setting and find any option on online music playing, disable all those feature related to internet. Restart. If this does not work, you have to uninstall Real player.
Keep informing.

Can not add music

You cant drag and drop from Windows Media Player or Real Player, you have to go to the location on your computer where the audio files are stored *example - 'My Music' folder under 'My Document', copy and paste the songs from that location. Make sure the audio files are MP3 or Unprotected Windows Media Audio files as that is all this unit accepts.
