It can happen when the computer is busy executing other programs or the CPU usage is more due to multiple application running at the same time. The best way to resolve this issue is Upgrade the memory on your system. You can also try to disable the startup applications from system configuration.

It will open the run windows

Type "msconfig"

Click ok

In the system configuration window select the Starup tab

Windows 10 may stop responding if there is virus or malware. So run a virus scan across your entire Windows system. ... If any malware has been detected, follow the instructions provided by the antivirus program to fix it. Then restart your computer and try to launch your program again to see if it works

All programs are not responding when I need to close them

Hi,
It is normal that Windows reports programs as not responding when it try to close the computer. If all program is reported as not responding and the computer do not close at all, then it sounds like a serious problem. I would reinstall my Windows even though it is boring.

I have a 96 ford conversion van with a 600 plus addon keyless system and need to program new keyless remots , need to know how to get system in program mode.

Hi.

To program ( or reprogram ) a keyless entry remote transmitter into the remote keyless entry module, perform the following steps:

1. Turn the key to ON or ACC and short the two terminals of the program connector, a two-pin connector located below the driver's side of the instrument panel at the base of the steering column. All doors should lock and then unlock.
2. Press any button on each keyless entry remote transmitter in turn. All doors should lock and then unlock. If the door locks do not respond, press the button again (up to three times maximum with the same keyless entry remote transmitter). If the door locks still fail to respond, go to Pinpoint Test A.
3. Repeat Step 2 to program additional keyless entry remote transmitters into the remote keyless entry module (up to four keyless entry remote transmitters maximum).
4. Turn key off.
5. Remove the short from the program connector. All doors should lock and then unlock.
6. Verify that the keyless entry remote transmitters have been successfully programmed by pressing the LOCK or UNLOCK button on each one, and observing that the system responds by locking and/or unlocking the doors.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks!

My computer will say ''not responding''.

That just means that the computer has been "thinking" for a little bit longer than it's used to. You could run disk defragmenter and disk cleanup for a cheap solution. If you have some money to spend, you could upgrade your whole machine. I suspect that the issue is a program you are running is a little too resource heavy for your machine.

Programs not responding

Hi again Gordon,

Appreciate the update.
1. other than the glitches you posted, was there any significant change on how the programs responded, specifically are they still prone to "not responding". If still, then problem is elsewhere, if no more "not responding" then we simply have to weave out the culprit among the many in msconfig's Startup;
2. Could you please post back a list of the programs that are running in msconfig's Startup?
