Question about MicroBoards Primera Signature IV InkJet Printer
The racket you're hearing is a problem with the gears that drive the tray. The unit will have to be disassembled to ascertain what the problem is. Most likely you will have a bad gear, or there will be some problem with a sensor/control board. Bottom line is that the unit will need servicing, which will require opening it up and inspecting/troubleshooting it. Primera warranties this unit for life, but one must still pay for repairs after 1 year (which puzzles me, and sounds like some kind of a contradiction). They do have reportedly excellent free phone support, indefinitely, however, so your first recourse would be to contact them, and go from there.
