Dell can’t find the Hard Drive,Tried everything with the Original,Swapped Drives with 2 Others.I Also swapped SATA, Power Cable ,Drive Not in Bios Get Error on Start No Drive Found Any Ideas Anybody?

Herculesx , Have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhGDBivOrDE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB0LRnJB1Bo in case you missed some important step.Trouble shoot process.
Why are you changing out the hard drive in the first place.?
Maybe the power supply unit is faulty and not proving power to the hard drive. This could be checked with a volt meter on the power plug to see if 5v and 12v dc voltages exist on the power plug when the power is turned on. Hopefully you have not zapped the hard drive circuirty via static electricity or from removing hard drives while the power was on the computer.
or
Maybe the power plugs are not pushed in hard enough into the hard drives when installing them ?
Good luck with your problem hope it is a power problem.
Another possibilitity is the Bios is not capable of handling the size of the hard drive capacity

I have power to the swech box but none to the hard drive

How do you know you have no power to the hard drive?

If you are positive there is no power coming out the power supply to your hard drive but you have power elsewhere, then you probably need to replace the power supply.

How do i find my hp compact ,the model # to look for the manuel for my comp, i have a hard drive i guess it's a new type and i want to add another hard drive but it's the old conection, what i can do ,,

I assume you new hard drive is a SATA hard drive and your HP only has an IDE hard drive.
To install a SATA hard drive in the HP, you will need to install a SATA controller card in your HP so the SATA hard drive can work in the HP computer. You will also need a power adapter lead for the SATA hard that converts the 4 pin power connector to a SATA power connector.

Computer won't power up. opened case to replace hard drive. After replacing the hard drive the computer would not power up. Reinstalled the old hard drive and still the computer won't start up.

Check your connection between the power supply and the motherboard. Is it possible that your power supply was getting weak instead of the hard drive you replaced? First check the power connection and then try another power supply. If a different power supply boots the computer then you know that it may not have been a problem with your hard drive. You didn't say why you replaced the hard drive.

Computer won't boot up. Error code 0146 and error code 2000-0146

Good day.
Error code 0146 basically refers to a hard drive. This means your computer is not detecting properly your hard drive or your hard drive itself is defective.
Let's first isolate the problem. Go to your BIOS setup (Pressing F2 upon power on) and check if your hard drive is properly setup in your BIOS. Make some necessary adjustments and save setting.
Turn-off your pc and try to check the data cable and the power cable is properly connected to your hard drive. You may also try re-seating the data and power cables - remove first and then connecting it again to the hard drive. Loose cables may cause problems. Power on the pc.
If you still receive the same error, then you need to replace the hard drive with another one.
Good luck.

Acer aspire 2920

Disreguard the product recommendation. You posted your question in the hardware recommendation section which is for upgrades and such.

For a lap top you can unplug the batteries and power cord. Then press and hold the power button. This is called a power-drain.

Then I would remove the hard drive and make sure there are no bent pins (if older IDE type). Then I replug the hard drive
and replace the batteries and power plug.

Reboot the laptop and enter bios. See if the hard drive is detected. I

F still nothing, try another hard drive in the lap top

or

try that hard drive in another machine/hard drive enclusure to see if it works.

If the harddrive checks out then maybe the laptop hard drive connection is damaged.
That would be verifed with another hard drive.

Hope this helps.

When powering up my computer, I get a failure. Primary hard drive 1 not found Strike the F1 to continue F2 to run the set up utility. I think the power supply fan is not working. What do I do?

your system can not detect your primary hard disk which host the operating systems,so you check the data cable to the hard drive and the power supply to the hard drive for supply
