How do you clean the drum on a Lexmark C510 printer. One of the suggestions for the horizontal colored lines suggested this. I don't see such instructions in the manual. Thanks

DON'T clean the drum. You'll demage it. Try to find out witch color the line is and replace the cartridge. Mostly this solves the problem. If more colors, than more cartridges to replace.

Light yellow horizontal lines on C522

Remove the supplies and clean the yellow printhead. For instructions on how to clean the printheads, click on this link: http://bit.ly/bCoz92. Just follow the instructions. If that doesn't help, might need replacement. If issue remains after printhead has been cleaned and the supply has been replaced, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance. Thanks.

I am getting vertical lines on my pages. It is as if it is not printing there. Any suggestions? Thank You!

Hi,

Please clean the printhead laser lens.
Pull the toners out and open the smalll door below and wipe the lens with a clean lint free piece of cloth.
This should take care of the vertical line issue.

Regards.

Horizontal lines down left margin

Sounds like it's a transfer belt and not a drum you are refering too. Each toner cartridge mose likely has a drum built into it. If the lines are only in one color it may be that toner that is bad. But most likely it's the transfer belt, often called an ITU (Image Transfer Unit) or ETB (Electrostatic Transfer Belt). They sometimes get contaminated with dust, oils from fingers, etc... and can't be cleaned, would need to be replaced.
