It sounds like your receiver isn't close enough to your mouse. Try moving the receiver and mouse closer together. If that doesn't make it any better, then you can certainly use a corded mouse.

My V220 wireless mouse has just stopped working after I changed battery. It just will not connect. Only had it about 3 months

Two probably blunt/stupid answers, but you'll never know:
* is the new battery really full?
* is the new battery properly seated (mind polarity...)

How to change battery on my cordless mouse. Ibelieve I have V220.

usually there is a button on the bottom of that keyboard it slides one way other the other. it will let you lift the top off or bottom off.
once you replace the batteries you will have to resync the mouse to make it work. this is done by hitting the button on the reciever (the thing that connects to the computer) and this hitting the button on the bottom of the mouse.
hope this helps
Steven.

V220 worked for years. Just quit. Replaced battery, went through mouse reset procedure & download. Still does not work, battery is good.

Seems that removing the laptop battery & getting a simple reboot, was all it needed. Thanks for the quick responses from you.

My logitech V220 optical mouse won't work, I changed the batteries.

Hi three, uninstall the Logitech V220 Cordless optical mouse driver from the laptop and then restart the laptop again. Now install that Logitech V220 Cordless optical mouse driver again . I am sure its will start working. If not then make sure your batter Is properly fixed inside in the mouse & that's fully charged. After those thing if still not working then visit service center, because the mouse censer stop working and its damaged.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Logitech V220 cordless mouse won't work

The V220 is a quite nice rodent, my favorite. Check 3 things.

1) Is the battery facing the right way? Minus end goes in first. Green LED should turn on for a few seconds after the battery is installed.

2) Is the mouse ON? The switch under the mouse is supposed to turn on automatically when the receiver is removed. This does not always work.

3) Unplug the USB Receiver. Connect it to a different USB port. Run the Logitech Connect utility.

If the mouse still does not work, uninstall the Setpoint software and reboot. It is possible that the driver did not install correctly. After reboot, try Step 3 again.

Setpoint software is only needed if you want to use the wheel click or horizonal scroll features.

If all else fails, try installing your V220 on a different computer.

V220 Mouse. Which way does battery positive terminal go?

A button cell looks exactly opposite of a regular battery. The small button end is negative.

V220 optical mouse is not working with VISTA

First thing you might check is, there is an on/off switch on the bottom of that mouse that could have gotten turned off by accident. It is there to save battery while the computer is on. It could have gotten turned off by accident. Did the computer show new hardware in the tray when you plugged in the receiver?

Take a look at this web site. Just click the link:

Your battery may be dead.
Software for your mouse listed at this link:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support_downloads/downloads/&cl=us,en?selectedcrid=398&selectedcid=146

I do not have your v220 mouse so I'm unsure if you can replace it with a standard battery. Check it or exchange it from where you bought it.
Good Luck & kind Regards.
& please vote.
