If your LCD is cracked, you will need to unfortunately replace the entire LCD. Simply putting a screen protector (which is just a thin film) will not stop the crack from getting worse. There is unfortunately no magical way to fix your screen other than simply replacing the LCD panel itself, which is totally doable. Many electronics repair shops can fix your TV pretty easily. In some cases, you can even mail it into Toshiba.
you can find replacement panels but expect to pay $250 plus for one. You will need to take the back cover off the set and get the panel model # off the back of the panel. There should be a white sticker on the back of the panel stating the model #. You will need to get a replacement panel that matches your model # EXACTLY
Sorry,u have to buy a new tv.Because by replacing the tv LCD screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.The tvs LCD screen panels for tvs are in very limited in productions by the tvs corporations.Save ur old tv for spare parts.Tries buy the tv the same make and model as ur tv that have a cracked LCD screen panel.
The set needs a new LCD if it looks cracked and swirly, the colors all run together in the area of the crack don't they! If it is cracked it can't be fixed. you can replace the lcd but I am not sure if a warranty will cover a cracked screen or not. You will need to contact LG and be very nice to them and see if they will honer the warranty on this.
Cracked screen can be replaced by the authorised dealer near by you. Being LCD it may take around 3 weeks for the replacement. it will cost around 3/5th of the actual price of the whole Set. The cost includes the service charge also.
The time of 3 weeks is the minimum expected time and may or may not extend depending upon the availability of the spare Lcd with the dealer/ service centre.
its recommended that you go for a new one considering the time and money to be spend on this brocken Lcd
