You haven't given any model number information, but typically on any air compressor if it won't build pressure, either you have a leak in your piping, tank, hose or the compressor cannot move the required cfm of air. Could be a valve problem or piston, relief valve? Do you hear any air leaking. There are som many different models from cheap throw away compressors to thousands of dollar models. HArd to say without more information

On my greenworks 1700 pressure washer I loses pressure after running for a short time


If you are referring to a well pump , short cycling could be low water level in well. It could also mean that there is too muck silt at the bottom of your well , possibles well pump is set too low. Also check the pressure tank that is connected to your supply line , if the interior bladder is leaking or the tank it’s self is leaking you won’t have proper water pressure.

always check the engine oil level before you drive off

fixing oil leaks on motors
degrease whole motor top and bottom

start with replacing the oil sender it may be the cause of the oil light coming on
after degrease
lay cardboard or paper under the car
take out for a drive and park over the paper over night

Would low oil level cause engine to shut off while driving?


An effect of low oil level may damage valve lifters, they may have experienced excessive wear.
Definitively, continuous running of motor with low pressure might damage the motor.
If you check always oil level and it is an ocasional event, as long as the engine wasn't starving for oil under load (i.e. the oil pressure warning light did not come on), it won't have suffered immediate, catastrophic damage
I would worry more about the cumulative effect of chronic neglect. After the car is fully warmed up and warning light come on at idle your engine is on its last legs.

How do i increase pressure


If the unit is operating at factory pressure, don't try to increase it. Pumps and motors are designed to run at a particular horsepower load. If you increase psi, you can blow pump or motor, or cause other damage, not to mention possible injury.
If pressure is actually low, nozzle could be clogged, or worn out. Other causes should be repaired by professional.

Possible causes
- Low oil level or motor mechanical fault
- Faulty oil pressure sensor
- Oil Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Oil Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection

When is the code detected?
The P0521 is detected when the signal sent from oil pressure sensor to PCM goes out of range.
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Oil pressure warning light ON.

The PCM continuously monitors the engine oil pressure. The Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch sends a signal to the PCM when the engine is running.

Fuel can't continue flows to injection pump so thats why the engine cant continue to run


This problem relates to low fuel pressure.Get the fuel pressure checked.Most probably weak fuel pump and clogged fuel filter.Both are to be replaced.Still to confirm get fuel pressure checked.It can be checked at any local car garage repair store.---------

You can check to see if it is the catalyst by having an exhaust shop do a back-pressure test or you can unbolt the catalyst pipe before you start the car to see if that fixes the issue. This problem can also be caused by low fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure is caused by a clogged in-tank strainer, clogged fuel filter, or a weak fuel pump. If the pressure is low the car would be running lean, which can also cause the engine to run hot. Another thing that can cause this problem is a weak ignition system, either from leaking spark plugs, carbon tracking on the distributor, or worn/improperly gapped spark plugs.

My engine oil pressure alert comes on under heavy acceleration and sometime during normal driving. Any ideas?


I would have someone check the actual oil pressure with a mechanical test gauge very soon as there is a possibility that you could seriously damage the engine if the light is ignored. There are two things that could be happening: You could actually have low oil pressure in which case you are running the risk of causing engine damage if you continue to operate the vehicle when the light is on or you could have a faulty sending unit that isn't reading the oil pressure correctly and is causing the alert to wrongly come on. Either way you should have it checked out as soon as possible to be sure of the cause. Make sure that the oil level is full and that the oil is clean and of the right viscosity for your particular engine as dirty or low oil can cause a whole host of problems.
