Question about Televison & Video

Edit Draft For the Azraeli/Sai/Taran 2005 gang. Gramps needs help on a Vizio Vizio #VP322 HDTV10A This is a second sending. The first sending may still be in orbit. Owner stated that TV became more and more reluctant to turn on, but usually at least gave clicks. But after months of this behavior would not turn on at all and would not even click. I changed 2 bulging caps [10v @ 3300 mikes] but TV is still not turning on and won't even click. Power board # is PSPU-J707A. Thanks in advance for your help -- always super duper in the past. Question #2 ::: How do I ask questions of you all using regular old email??? It files better. All the best, Gramps // renthelp // BDCD928E

Replace your power relay on the power supply board: it should be marked on the power supply circuit board as: RL1

The sound on my vizio model no is vp322 hdtv10a comes on for a short time and then it goes off and the only time it will come back on is when I cut hte TV off and after a while and the cut it back on.

You may have a bad power supply, or the voltage regulators on the main board are flaky. It may be a bad capacitor, generally a visible difference from the other capacitors will indicate the candidate.

Vizio has a recurring problem with \'adjusable\' voltage regulators on their mainboards that produce the sub-5 volts components desire.

So, it is a component that is heat sensitive, has a bad / cold solder joint, or possibly the power supply capacitor that drives the sound ICs and amplifier.

Vp322 hdtv10a have picture but no sound, what board is it?

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

I have the Vizio vp322 hdtv10a that doesn't turn on,I opened the back panel and found that the capacitors aren't bulging.

Hello, might need a Main Unit or Power Supply by the sounds of it. Try out a company named ShopJimmy.com for parts. I have used them with great success in the past. I included a link to their site from your model page. Hope that helps!

My vizio vp322 hdtv10a was on then just turned off all of a sudden. When i tryd to turn it on the vizio light comes on but the screen is still black.

Hi,

You need to check the output voltages of the power supply to see which one goes off. It may be due to short circuits some where. If otherwise,
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help to rectify the problem, and do take care in handling the TV, because it contains high voltages...

I think I need a new power module for my Vizio vp322 hdtv10a tv. How do I open the TV to expose this module? There are about 10 million screws on the back of the set.

Remove the 4 screws holding the stand. Remove all the perimeter screws. Remove all the screws from the bottom speaker panel and the rest of the perimeter screws and the ground wire screws at each speaker. remove the screws on the surface of the back panel and you are in. The power supply is the large board in the middle. The bad capacitors are in the secondary and were C233, C234, and C236. I replaced these 3 capacitors and fixed this problem. They were 1-10v 1000uF and 2- 10v 3300uF electrolitic board mount capacitors. Easy to spot on the power board, the tops were bulged up. $5.54 later it works perfectly now.

No power

Most likely the power supply board. Have a repair shop check it out.
