Will start and idle, but give it gas and it dies.

Hi Tammy:
Make sure the air filter is clean.
Check the muffler. Sometimes they get clogged with carbon and the unit will idle but dies when you try to increase revs.

Gas powered weed eater/edger has no power (starts fine but attachements won't spin with any velocity

You need to check compression with a reliable 2 cycle compression gauge, not an automotive one. Probably should also be pressure and vacuum checked too.

How do you replace the fuel filter on a Weedeater PE 550 lawn edger?

You can find replacement fuel filters at a nearby hardware store. Once you have one, fish out the line from inside the tank and fit new filter onto line and place it all back into the tank. You will probably have to back out the tube a little after re-installation.

Master cut edger 2.0 manuals wont start

Not positive but it sounds like it ran out of gas. Maybee a leak in one of the hoses? Or a piece of trash worked its way into the needlevalve or internal screen

Engine starts and dies immediately what could be wrong?

The carburator may be dirty or the fuel filter might be clogged. I would take it off and clean it with some carb cleaner and see if that fixes your problem. It might be benificial to run fuel stabilizer after you clean it.

I bought a Sears edger #536 796526. It dies on me.

Hi Tom. You are not doing anything wrong. That being said, your edger has a slightly gummed up carbeurator. I would go to an auto parts store and get a can of a product called seafoam. this is a gasoline additive. Add one ounce per gallon of gas and use this as the fuel for your edger. You will solve your problem in just a few minutes after using this product, I believe. Give it a try and let me know.
