SOURCE: I receive an advanced dot placement mode error

I started receiving this error after a Windows update. After 2 days of the same issue, I realized that I rebooted my computer several times but I hadn't yet turned the printer off and on. I unplugged and plugged it back in again. It ran through a quick reboot and then I was printing fine - no need to change any software settings, roll back drivers. etc.

Dx2200 stops booting up. then shows a purple and yellow dotted screen !!! why ?

If your screen shows a clear picture to start with then it is most likely the video card driver. I don't know what you mean by no access to safe mode, but if you can get into safe mode you should be able to uninstall the video driver and restart. Safe mode is usually accessed by hitting F8 before windows starts so as soon as you see a picture on the screen start hitting F8 a few times until you get to the safe mode selection menu.

That doesn't seem like video card issue it sounds like a printer driver issue. Check your print settings and make sure it's set to simply black and white or just color....and uncheck advanced dot placement mode.

On page 96 of your advanced user manual it talks about how to disable the beep noise made by the camera. Go to Mode Menu and then Setup tab and then to the symbol that looks like a dot)))). This will allow you to have it high, low or off completely.
