Question about Fujitsu fi-6130 Flatbed Scanner

Fi-6130 scanner displays J1 paper jam after

One of our Fi-6130 scanner displays J1 paper jam after every 10-15 pages scan.We replaced rollers, issue still persists. Any suggestion??

Hi,

Does the message shows after few pages scanning or is there any panel error message like J-1 on scanner start up?

If the issue occurs during scanner start up, then there are staple pins or dirt might be stuck inside the US Sensor panel inside the scanner. Cleaning and removing the objects will resolve the issue.

If the error occurs after few pages scanning, then you may have to check the Pick Roller, Brake Roller, Pinch Roller and US Sensor FX status. you may have to replace any of the above, if damaged or worn off.

    If the 6130 is manufactured in the months between 3/09 - 8/09, then the glass mounting will cause jams. I've repaired hundreds of them and those were bad months of production for them. The lower base assembly will need to be replaced.

Hi,

If the scan count of your fi-6130 scanner exceeded 2,00,000 scans, then you may have to replace the consumable parts. After replacement of the consumables, you need to rest the consumable counters. To check/reset the Pick/Brake Roller Counter, please follow the steps provided below:

1.Turn on the scanner, and confirm if it is connected correctly to your computer.
2.From the "start" menu, select "All Programs", then select "Scanner Utility for Microsoft Windows", then click on "Software Operation Panel"
3.In the dialog box displayed, from the list on the left of the panel, select "Device Setting"
4.Click the "Clear" button beside the replaced consumable under "Page Counter"
5.Click the "OK" button on the displayed confirmation message. The counter is reset to 0
6.Click the "OK" button to close the "Software Operation Panel" dialog box

Fi-6130z fujitsu scanner jamming repeatedly


Hello Meg,
To troubleshoot your scanner issue, yuo are advised to perform the steps provided below:
1.Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute.
2.Open the ADF while pressing down the ADF open lever. If your has the imprinter option attached, please open the imprinter and then open the ADF.
3.Remove the jammed papers from the ADF.
4.Close the ADF pushing the center part of the ADF carefully.
If document jams occur frequently, then please check the followings:
1. Do the documents satisfy paper specification?
2. Have the documents been jogged?
• Align the edge of documents for stable paper feeding.
• Remove documents with crease or dog-ear.
• Scanning different width of documents may cause skew and result in paper jam.
3. Are Chuter Unit (ADF paper chute),Guide P ASSY (Sheet guide), Feed roller cover (plate guide) and Brake roller cover installed correctly?
4. Clean the Feed rollers, Eject rollers,Plastic rollers, glass surface and paper feeding surface, and see if the error is resolved.
5. Check the consumable counter from the TWAIN driver screen. When the counter exceeds the values, replace Pick roller or Brake roller see if the error is resolved.
6. If the issue still persists, then you are recommended to contact the nearest Fujitsu service center for further assistance.

When a document jam occurs, "J" and "1" will display alternately on the function number display panel of the scanner.Please perform the following:
  1. Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute.
  2. Open the ADF while pressing down the ADF open lever. If you are using fi-6130 with the imprinter option attached, please open the imprinter and then open the ADF.
  3. Remove the jammed papers from the ADF.
  4. Close the ADF pushing the center part of the ADF carefully.

Fujitsu fi 6130c sheetfed scanners make a clicking noise, then jam.

The clicking noise could be due to abrasion of gears in the upper part of the scanner.Please check your scanner usage and a general service will resolve the issue with replacement of the gears, if required.You are recommended to contact your local Fujitsu authorised service station for repair. If you have a scanner with the manufacturing date of 3/09 - 8/09, then yes, the clicking noise is more noticeable after it heats up. The problem resides in the glass mounting that was made in production in those months. The glass mounting raises up and if scanning thick paper or cards it will jam up. This must be sent back to fujitsu to replace the base assembly, because this is a defect that affected thousands of customers.

Code DS42003 PAD ASY IN PAPER FEEDER


After you've been scanning for a while with your Fujitsu 6110 or 6130 scanner, you will get a message from the scanner recommending that you replace some of the scanner's consumable parts, such as the pick roller and pad assembly. Although you can ignore these messages, they will keep showing up, even after you have replaced the parts, until you also clear the scanner's page counters in the Software Operation Panel.

Fi-6130 not grabbing paper, displays Code: DS32002


My scanner is Fujitsu M4097D. I just have problem with ADF: Error Code DS32002: Paper jam in the ADF. Here is my solution: 1. Bend two white platin pieces down a little bit in order to "sensor" the paper scanned. This problem is occurred after I am scanning 50 thick pages. Until paper count 42, it is stopped with error code DS32002. Hope help anybody having this problem.

Paper jam


It seems youre facing an issue with the scanner consumables - pad and pick roller. It is a goos idea to replace both of them at the same time. Also check the feed and exit rollers (the two rollers on the upper part of the scanner) as the get sticky causing problems like the one you describe.
