My philips gogear vibe is frozen and wont move from screen its on and wont power down, I have pluged it in to see if that will work and nothing, what do I do?

Try the repair function of the Songbird software and restore VIBE to the factory settings. Before you proceed, bach up your files stored on VIBE if possible because the following procedure erases all files you have on the player:
1: Launch the Philips Songbird on the PC
2: In the Philips Songbird menu bar (at the top), click on the Tools pull-down menu and then select Repair My VIBE.
3: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the repair procedure.
I hope this will help you.
If you haven't Songbird it can be downloaded from Philips website: www.p4c.philips.com/
Thanks

My philips gogear vibe is charging fully and will not work for morethan 2 minutes

Hello,
I think the built-in battery of the player has been dead. If the warranty time takes long up to now you can carry it to a corresponding service centre to change the item or its battery free of charge.
If not, in this case you may decide to be repaired by changing battery or here is the end of its life.
Good luck, bye

My Gogear Vibe 8 GB appears permanently locked. A lock symbol can be seen on the screen and will not disappear with any action, including of course, sliding the lock key to the unlock position; simply...

There's a reset hole on the bottom. Push a paper clip in there. It will reset the device. Be warned though. It might also wipe everything you have stored.

It will not turn on

Did you try charging the battery? You battery power level may be low. To charge the battery, connect the VIBE to the smaller end of the USB cable, and connect the other end to your USB port on your PC. Your computer needs to be turned on in order for the VIBE to charge. The charging animation yields and a battery with a lighting bolt in front of it will appear indicating that the battery is fully charged.

Batterylife,GoGear Vibe 4GB how long between each charge, getting 5 to 6 hours.

The battery life is rated at 25 hours for audio and 4 hours for video. If the charge is not holding you can try ensuring device is secured while charging. If this does not work the battery is bad and should be replaced. This is not horrible news, batteries for the GoGear Vibe 4GB are only $10.00.

My Gogear Vibe MP3 is frozen on the playlist screen. Won't change screens, won't turn off, doesn't do anything when you plug it ino the pc

Try Resetting it, by getting a sharp edge (something) and pressing the button on the left side of the device..if that doesnt work, try waiting for the battery to die, the reset, then try charging it again. Hope this helps.(:

My Gogear Vibe will not charge. It also will not turn on when not plugged into the computer. I cannot access the "charge and Play" option for charging. The language randomly changes between turn-ons from...

I had to re-boot my computer not long after plugging the Vibe in to add some music and recharge. When the computer rebooted it seemed to be dead.

After reading the above I pressed the reset button. It came up again.

Now, here's the crux. After it went through its language questions the recharge message said: Charging. Do not unplug. (Or similar.)

I suspect that the Vibe was deeply discharged. I haven't used it for a while and don't recall recharging it after the last use so I'm not surprised to find the battery deeply discharged.

In future I'll be more careful to read its little messages when I plug it in.

This is not a solution to fixing the mp3 player, but I no longer need assistance, I returned the product for a refund.
