I put my pen drive in first it recognize it then it says i should scan it after scanning it i send a document onto it then it says it cannot recognize it. i have tried it on another computer but still it did not work. Please help me to retrieve my documents

Most of the pen drives when put inot different computers gather along some virus which is the identity of one computer finding the next as another with a fault. hence it is possible that your pen drive is now infected with a virus, a malware which is not allowing the saved program to be found. First of all scan again with a good updated antivirus which must detect this virus. If found you can delete off and try to open. If not try to search for all the files present in the drive with a search for all hidden files from the search window found in the start icon. I hope this helps. take help from the windows help and support for searching for hidden files. Good day

If this is a U3 Sandisk USB stick drive you can usually use the launcher installer to backup the contents if it is still physically working.
Otherwise there are a few websites that will offer a recovery application

put a pen scribble on the back of you document you are trying to scan. Now scan it
Do you see the scribble on the resultant copy ?
If you answered yes then turn the document over when scanning it .

I would like to know how to add signatures to my word document. I have Word 2008 for a mac.


You can scan your signature and save it as a jpeg or gif image file.
To add your signature onto a Word document, just place a picture (your scanned signature) on the document where you want your signature to appear.
If you want to send this Word document via e-mail as an attachment, I suggest you create a PDF file of your Word document and send the PDF file as the attachment.
If you send the Word document with your signature, the person who receives this can not only open your document using Word BUT can also access your signature image and can use it without your authorization.

My Dell V105 printer won't scan a document onto my Dell laptop. It will scan and print but won't scan and send the document to my laptop.

I have not familiar with the printer but I have alternative for your problem. I suggest you install Acrobat reader 9 that if have a friend that you can borrow.

From that program, you can scan a document and save it as pdf file. Just go to the document menu and there is a scan to pdf option there. Choose which one you preferred like print in black and white.

Place the document on a scanner, Scan the document first onto your computer save the scan output with a name you can remember. Open your email, click attachment browse to the document you just scanned and click attach.

Most virus scanners will allow you to scan your peripheral drives. Just put the pen drive into a usb port.. wait for the computer to recognize it then open up your virus scanner and scan the drive letter associated with your pen drive.

When you scan a document it must be scanned with OCR software. The default scanning method will scan a document as a picture, not a document with letters and words. The OCR software will recognize the letters and put the scanned document in the proper format to open it with MS Word. The software that you scan with should have a setting for OCR, read your instructions or help files to get the details if you can not find them very easy in the software you use for scanning. .

The problem with using Outlook may be that you have not set it up properly to get your emails from your email server. You do not need to use Outlook or Outlook express to send any documents, you can use your web based email server if you like, but you can use Outlook Express as well. You just need to add the document to send as an attachment to the email.

To set up Outlook Express to get your email, you must first find out what the POP3 and SMTP setting you must use. You can get that information from your email provider, it is different for every email provider. Then you go to the "File" menu at the top left of Outlook Express and select "Identities" and select "Add New Identity" and from there you will go thru a wizard to guide you thru the process of setting up your email client. Just make sure you have the POP3 and SMTP settings available for you to put into Outlook Express when prompted to in the wizard.

you need an application software to scan a document first, install one from your manufacturer's CD and follw the direction carefully, or if your computer recognizes

go to start-program-accesories-then scanner and camera, see if your computer recognizes your scanner.

What do You mean "Scan Disk" is it a pen drive or SD Memory Card ?
What operating system do you have on your computer ?
