The problem is that the lens of your ps3 is either dirty or weak that it can no longer read any disc, i advice that you get a lens cleaner to clean the lens of your game, if after cleaning, problem persist, replace the lens on your ps3 so that your ps3 can continue to function as it use to function before.
Replace the lens on your ps3 and you will see that it will start reading discs.

SOURCE: playstation 3 doesn't read discs
while you were playing a game or watching a film, if you move the console while there is a game in there and the console is on, then it corrupts the harddrive thats what happened to me but if it is switched off and you move it then it does not matter nothing will happen but just type in ps3 repair in google and click on the first one and the company will fix it for you for £80 and you will have to pay extra £10 to them for when they send it back and it will propably cost you another £20 to send to them in the first place. but if you send it off to sony it will cost quite a lot as you will have to send it to america and there is a chance of it getting lost or damaged in the post.

If the warranty is still intact, Sony can fix it. If not, open the ps3, open the blu-ray drive and clean the laser. If that doesnt work, replace the laser.

SOURCE: ps3 not reading the disc
It could be that your reading laser has a smudge or is obstructed by a spec of dust or dirt.If this is the case do not,I repeat do NOT try to fix this yourself unless you are a professional. If this laser is ever smudged in any way by a person it will not work.I must stress that.It also might be that your PS3 has some internal problem that would also need to be taken care of by a expert.Hope it helped
