Question about SanDisk Sansa View 8GB MP3 Player - Black

1 Answer

I thought I downloaded music into my Sansa 16gb mp3 player but when I try to play it back the "No Song" messagae appears. Space was taken up in memory. How can I get my music? I haven't formatted it because the instructions did not call for this but there is information in the manual on how to format although it doesn't say when I need to.

Why does my sansa clip says "not enough

It means your memory is full. Or you could be downloading to many songs for the device to upload. Try one song at a time.

Music failure!no music plays

for your sansa to work, please do make sure that you have installed the manager utility on your computer because the sansa will not be able to play your files straight from copy and pasting

good luck hope this helps.

Sansa

Hi,

From initial appearances, it would seem that you are running out of disk space with your Sansa e250. Should this have happened, there is a strong possibility that the filing system would also have been corrupted. The best would be to reformat and/or perhaps even to re-install the firmware. This is so as to start fresh/anew.

Incidentally, computerrep, anoother resident expert is with Sansa/Sandisk, you may have better luck with his able assistance. In a similar concern, he has posted this solution.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

No Song ..? O.o

Sounds like something nasty got on there. Try setting USB Mode to MSC (mass storage class) and running virus and spyware scans on the device as a disk drive.

Computer does not show MP3 player as connected and how to stop a song playing

If you installed the firmware update, you might have forgotten to change the device to MSC mode.. try going to settings>USB mode>MSC This should probably work.. to stop a song while its playing, click the |<< button while you have the screen with the current song. (you can pause a song on this same screen with the >|| button) If you have gone back to any of the menu screens, wait for a couple seconds and the player will automatically go back tot he song display screen so you can stop the song.
