My sony tv wont turn on

There is a powerbutton on my sony TV - no amount of pressing the remote will activate the telly unless I forstpop the power button on the top. Once it has been initiated teh remotes work fine.

ALSO check the remote is working by activating a digital camera - can even be a smartphone - point the remote at the lens and you should see a flashing light on the camera screen, if not, check the batteries etc (try another remote for something you know is working to compare the result)

If all that fails, it may well be the TV that's broken.

Hitachi l42vco4u

In other-words, the standby/power slight blinks. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. For more information, check the link http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/. If the blinks continues, and non-stop, the fault should be with its main system control IC, and with the memory IC.

Str-de875. Remote is suddenly not making the amp work. the remote still turns tv on/off

does the light blink more than once when you select the 'contol the reciever now' button? I assume you push a button to switch which device the remote will control, and then push another button to astually have the device do something

The Wii turns on but the remote won't connect to the screen...all lights working also, bought a new sensor bar and still nothing...???

Turn on the Wii console, when at the home screen press any button on the wii remote, if the lights on the wii remote remain dark then it needs new batteries.

If the lights all light up at the same time then stop this means you are not synced. Press the 1 and 2 buttons at the same time to sync, this will work if they have been synced before.

If your four lights still blink blue then you need to open the little compartment on the console that is right below the disc tray. Inside is a little red button, press the button. Now open your battery compartment on the wii remote and take out the battery, then press the red button inside. Put the battery back in and the controller should sync up. If you are still having trouble you will need to contact Nintenedo Technical Support.

Hope this helped!

Bought nintendo wii last xmas and had played quite frequently. then after a break in play of a few mths the remote controls dont seem to be being picked up by the sensor. i chenged the batteries and still...

Hello there

Hold the Wii Remote upside-down with the buttons facing downward.

Tap the remote firmly against the palm of your hand three times to remove any dust sitting between the buttons and the electronic circuit board inside the remote.

Turn the remote upright and press one of the buttons. If the problem continues, Open your Wii Remote's battery door

Check that your Wii Remote contains two new "AA" batteries or a charged battery pack. Check that no corrosion is present on the battery's metal elements/connectors.

Use a cotton swab to clean the remote's battery element/connectors if corrosion is present.

Check that the Sensor Bar cable is inserted firmly into the back of your Wii gaming system. The Sensor Bar needs to be centered above or below your television so the Wii Remote can transmit signals to the gaming system.

Stand three feet away from the Wii gaming system/Sensor Bar.

Aim the remote and press any button to test the device.

If the remote is not working, stand five to 10 feet away from the gaming system and try the device. The Wii Remote works best three to 10 feet away from the gaming system/Sensor Bar.

Move any objects blocking the signal from the remote to the gaming system/Sensor bar--candles, other remote controls (TV/cable box) and wireless computer devices/cellular phones.

Also, if any sunlight is coming in through a window, close the curtains or blinds to keep the light from interfering with the remote's signal.

Turn off and unplug your Wii gaming system. Leave the unit unplugged for one minute. Plug the gaming system back in.

If the remote still aint working;

Turn the Wii system on. Press and hold the red "SYNC" button for 15 seconds when the "Health and Safety" screen appears on your television. The "SYNC" button is behind the small door on the front of your Wii unit.

Release the "SYNC" button. Remove the battery cover and batteries/battery pack from the back of your Wii Remote.

Press and release the red button located under the battery compartment. The blue lights on the front of the remote will blink

Press and release the "SYNC" button on the front of your Wii gaming system. The "Player" light on the gaming system stops blinking and stays on, the resetting process is complete

I need a list of codes to reprogram a universal remote for magnavox televisions.

hi, please could you let me know the make and model number of your remote, this may be written under where the battery goes as each model will have a different setup option.

if you do have the manual but dont have the codes then what you can do is an auto scan where you keep pressing the standby button until the telly turns off you then save it at that point then the remote should work the telly, if you dont have manual then let me know ok

i need to know if its made by ge or rct etc as their are a few people who make them

you may find the manual or codes here

here is the guide for an rca universal remote follow these instructions to scan through all the codes on the remote and save it when you come to the correct one, this is for rca how ever their are many other universal remotes so this may or may not work

1 turn on the target device, in your case this will be the telly

2 press and hold code search until the led lights light up

3 release the code search button

4 press and release the component button you wish to program in your case this will be tv it should flash then light back up and remain lit

5 press and hold the code search button until your tv tuns off then let go and press enter to save the code.

now if your remote is and rca one then keep doing this until the telly turns off then press enter and you should then be able to control the telly with the remote, if how ever this is not the instructions for your remote then let me know what make the remote is ok.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Wii remote will not work new batteries just blink all

Hey Jack, How many remotes are you able to connect at a time? If you have multiple remotes try turning the ones you know that work off, and putting them in another room(so you know they will not try to connect). Then try connecting with the bad one. If that doesn't work you might have to sync the remote: hold down the red sync button on the wii, located next to the sd card slot, while holding down the red button on the remote, located under the battery cover on the back. Now try connecting. If it still doesn't work, the LED lights in the sensor bar might have burned out, this happens a lot when you keep your sensor bar directly on your tv without the stand(the tv gets hot and burns out the lights), a lot of people do this because the stand looks bad. Go buy a new sensor bar, they sell them at wal-mart for $20, plus they're wireless, so you don't have to worry about that thin little wire popping. Test the new wii bar, if it's still not working, then you're remote is just worthy of getting returned.
hope this helps! -cj
