At 7 years old your TV needs to be replaced. To repair a TV this old would cost as much as a new one and not give you as good a picture. If you can't afford a new TV look at refurbished models.
First please try a hard reset: Unplug from power supply, remove all cabling and wait about 10 -20 minutes. Then reconnect to power and redo the cables. Switch on the TV and see if this resolves the issue.
If that does not work, then there is a problem either with the convergence IC's, or the circuitry. In any case, this wouldnt be a job that you can fix yourself, and I strongly suggest that you call a TV technician to correctly diagnose and repair the problem.
However, please try the hard reset first and post back with results, and I will try to assist you further as best I can...
Hi, that sounds likes a degaussing coil problem,or a magnet have come to close of the tv, you will
needs a picture demagnetizer where you gone put it on the picture tube and making circle on the tube and walking back at the same time you still making circle and enlargin the circle at the same time you walk after 10 feet about turn off the demagnetizer,
that should bring at the normal color; if not thats
inside ,look for a positor or thermistor to replace
and try to dont turn the tv when the power is on
thats affect the degaussing process it work only when you start the tv on for few second..
good luck and hope that help you
have a nice days
5 times blinks is error code for No Good White Balance and you said that picture is very green. As you know TV is approx 7 years old so it needs RGB gain adjustments. If you are TV tech person or know about TV repair, let me know to guide you further. Or contact local TV repair shop to fix it.
Your problem most likely is on the signal board is my guess. If your not a technician it would be in your best interest to have him check L2C60 on the signal board.
as you say pink& green means
red+blue= pink
&green means you are getting all color like b+g+r so it requires adjustment only
please call skilled person to do it.
I would suggest to unplug the tv from the wall for about 15 minutes and then plug it back in,and turn it on,this should reset the microprocessor and realign the colors back to normal.let Us know how it goes and if you need more help.
