My mad catz game cube 1x memory card wont work for wii and its telling me to format it. so i formatted it but when i went to play a game cube game on the wii it said the card was not formatted and the card...

I would try sticking it into a gamecube and formatting it in there then try using it again in the wii, make sure its in the slot thats on the same side of the system as the disc drive. If it still doesn't work the memory card may be corrupted or the battery is dead-some have one some don't.
Good luck and happy gaming!

I can turn my wii on, there is sound and the sound of me clicking through the first menu (where it says to press A), but there is no display at all, nothing has been changed on it since its last use and it...

This might help
1 Turn it on as normal, but press +,-, and A at the start screen
2 This enters maintence mode, you can't accsess the wii message board
3 Some critical files may have been somehow deleted or corrupted
4 Try running a system update
If that didn't help
1 Unplug your console
2 Hold down the power button for 20-30 sec
3 Now try turning ot on
4 Run a system update.(It may tell you you dont have to)
If all else fails
Sorry for wasting your time you will have to get it professionaly fixed or send it in to nintendo
Thank you for your time, good luck and I hope this helps

There is a variety of problems in the wii that carry that same message. This thread solves one problem by deleting any large messages in your wii. You might also want to update your firmware in your Wii by going to the settings on your wii and checking there. If the problem is still there, then you unfortunately have to send in your Wii for repair.

Upgrated software on wii and now can't access wii setings it say page doesn't exist

This shouldn't happen, sounds like the download was corrupted and the update didn't finish :( You will have to contact Nintendo and see if they will fix this for you.

I just downloaded the most recent software upagrade and the unit has frozen and is making a buzzing noise.

this is probably a simple limited memory issue, that there is no (or very little) RAM (random access memory) left available on the system left to function. If this is the case contact Nintendo for help (mentioned in instruction manual). This could also be a result of a corrupt data upload (update) in software that could be too much or too little of a file resulting in a software/ product crash. You would then need to contact Nintendo to get help with the problem, they may give you a new Wii or give you a refund (maybe...). This problem is common, if you get this problem fixed: wait for coming update for a safer update.

Wii will do everything but it won't play games.....

I had the same problem. No new games would play but the old games played fine. I clicked on the spinning disc icon (where the game should come up) and it prompted me to do an update. I accepted. Once the update was complete (took about a minute or 2) the new games worked fine.

i had the same problem, been looking for a fix for it for ages, and finaly i can say i found one. it worked for mine but cant be 100% sure it will for you but you can try it and if it does not work all you will get is a new game.

i managed to get a copy of the new SONIC AND SEGA ALL STARS RACING. when i put it in the wii it asked me to update.
i did this and i can know access my settings and everything where as before i could not.
