I have purchased a new Samsung fridge rlwpc41and i was told that an engineer would attend us for a demo. nobody has bothered to visit my place yet

My samsung control on the freezer is displaying OF OFseems ice maker is off I pushed the power freeze by accident and can't get back to regular display


0F 0F on a Samsung refrigerator display indicates that your unit is in DEMO Mode. In DEMO mode, the lights work, but the refrigerator/freezer, fans, etc. will not operate (this mode is for display/retail purposes in appliance stores). Unfortunately, Samsung does not include any info re: DEMO mode in their user manuals.

To exit DEMO mode and return to operating mode, you will need to push 2 display buttons simultaneously for ~ 3 seconds (you'll hear a small chime, then the display window will display the freezer/fridge temps and will then be out of the 0F 0F DEMO mode). The 2 display buttons that you have to press simultaneously will depend on the model of Samsung refrigerator that you have.

I have a Samsung RF18HFENBSR model (french door, bottom freezer, display at top center of fridge compartment). For this model, you press the Power Freeze & Freezer buttons at the same time to enter/exit DEMO mode).

You might try googling Samsung XXXXXXXXXX Demo Mode, where XXXXXXXXX is your model number, and you may find the display button combo for your model. If not, then you can probably get the combination from Samsung support to return your unit to normal operating mode. Your appliance store may also have that information.

The last time I enquired the cost of recharging a domestic fridge cost about the same as for a vehicle air-con. The main difficulty is legislation (in Europe) and the falling price of new appliances has meant engineers who have the ability and equipment to recharge domestic fridge freezers are quite scarce.

If an engineer has to attend rather than have the appliance brought to him, the additional call-out charge generally means the alternative of a new replacement becomes quite attractive.

My refrigerator display shows "Of" how do I get it to normal when I reset the temp for the fridge or freezer the display goes back to "Of"


I just had the same problem with my Samsung. OF means it is in demo mode. On my fridge I had to press "Energy Service" key and "Power Freeze" key simultaneously for at least 3 seconds to bring the fridge out of demo mode. Hope this helps.....

You have a brand new unit off the floor. You do not have component failure problems.

You purchased a floor model. Floor models are set in the; "Demo Mode". In this mode your unit will not cool. Taking a unit out of the demo mode depends on the model. You need to contact your place of purchase to determine what buttons you need to press to get the unit out of the demo mode.

The people who deliver the units for Sears are contractors. Physical contract laborers. Most can not speak English.

I should know, I am a former Sears Home Service refrigeration/ A&E factory Service technician; all under the same umbrella. I have heard all the complaints about Sears deliveries.

Ice has built up behind the wall of the fridge. I can see ice in the little holes on the back wall. I also have water accumulating under the crispers in the fridge. I called samsung they have no clue...


turn it of and under your fridge or on the inside water is ment to full into the tray either the tray is full or your temp control is buggered. try tilting your fridge back about so it leans back and see if that helps but a new seal is about $20 and all you do is pul the old one off and pop the new one in place
