The main board is the processor in the fax machine, Sorry the ETI number is just a reference to an engeneering note and V34, it pretty much the standard modem put in a fax machine, it is adjustable at I think the speeds are 9600 baud,14,4. 28.8 and 33 k. Also it can run in a mode called G3 which I am not really sure of.
It's a pretty versitle modem used in most faxes.
I am sorry, I sent the information directly from the technical tips.
Should have specified, but when time is short, sadly as many people do I took a shortcut.

It shows erro 124-315

The serial no., product no., and billing count are stored at three locations; the MCU NVM PWB (IOT), the SEEP ROM (SYS1) on the Backplane (BP) PWB, and the ESS NVM PWB (SYS2). This procedure allows the data in all three locations to be synchronized in case of replacement of one of the PWBs, or due to data corruption associated with one of the following faults:
  • 124-324 (3 Billing Counter Mismatch)
124-325 (1 Billing Counter Mismatch; Unable to recover Billing Counter during recovery)
    124-312 (Product No. Mismatch)
    124-313 (Serial No. Mismatch)
124-310 (Product No. Failure: Not initialized)
  • 124-311 (Serial No. Failure: Not initialized)

Procedure

  1. Enter UI Diagnostic mode ( Accessing UI Diagnostics).
    Select Adjustment/Others.
    Select Machine ID/Billing Data Settings.
Select a PWB with the correct data.
    Select Start.
  2. Enter the correct serial number in the Serial Number screen and then select Confirm.

Sln for Xerox wc 5330 error code 092-315

092-315 ATC Fail RAP
BSD-ON: BSD 9.3 - Development and Toner Dispense Control
The frequency at which the ATC Average Fail or the ATC Amplitude Fail has been occurring
has exceeded the threshold value.
NOTE: •
Although this Fault can be cleared by turning the power OFF and ON and it will be possible to output a few sheets of printouts, when this Fault has occurred a certain number of
times, it will no longer be clearable by turning the power OFF and ON. To clear it, clear the
value of NVM location [752-022] (ATC Average Fail) or NVM location [752-023] (ATC
Amplitude Fail) to "0" (
NVM Read/Write). If the machine is not repaired back to normal
status, this Fault will occur again during the operation.
• When turning the power OFF, turn OFF the power switch first and then the main power
switch.
Procedure
Check the following:
• The connection between the MCU PWB
P/J413 and the Xero/Developer Cartridge P/
J615
for open circuit, short circuit, and poor contact
• The Toner Dispense Motor for revolution failure:
Component Control [093-002] (PL 8.2)
• The Toner Cartridge for internal toner blockage
If no problems are found, replace the following parts in sequence:
• Drum Cartridge (
PL 8.1)
• MCU PWB (
PL 18.2)

Cannot Send Faxes

Problem:
Not sending to long distance and government sites with encyrptor. Note: NG is not actually part of the Fault Code. NG stands for No Good on the Activity Report. Cause:
Not enough time to hand shake. Another cause of B5 can be a faulty Main PWB. Note: Should you wish to change the Main PWB, consult the following ETI 170535 to insure that you are selecting the correct part number. Solution: thumbsup.gif Fixed! thumbsdn.gif Did not fix. On speed dials and one touch numbers that the Customer is having problems with, you will have to modify the number to be dialed. What you have to do is add pauses to the end of the number. (example 555-5555 does not send to, error B0 (that is B Zero ) every time / then start adding pauses at the end of it until it works. Example 555-5555#. in some cases in Winnipeg and surrounding areas we have had to put up to 6 pauses to get a successful send. Note 1: These were to Fax Machines with encryptor devices and long distance...Avoid Call Backs. Inform the Customer of this. LEAVE instructions on how to do this. This will save your and your Customer some headaches. Note 2: Some success has been found by turning off the V34 Modem
