Question about Vtech Kidizoom Digital Camera
Found daughters Kidizoom vtech camera. I changed out the batteries and now it won't turn on. We haven't used it in awhile but with brand new batteries it is dead.
Try inserting a tooth pick into the reset hole found just below on-off button and slightly to the left. Apparently the camera requires a reset after batteries have been changed. Our problem after resolving this problem is now the camera doesn't always stay on, i.e., turns off by itself.

I fixed my sons camera. i first carefully removed the rubber 'nibs'. they conceal the 4 screws you will need to unscrew. i then opened the camera and found that one of the tint silver wires that serve as terminals to the battery was disconnected. possibly due to it being dropped. i then used a piece of polymer clay to prop it back into place. ideally, i would have soldered it back into place. it wasnt coming on at that point. i pressed reset and tried again. noth9ing. then i hooked the usb up to it with batteries installed.careful not to ground anything. i then saw the screen come on while on usb. then i unhooked usb and tried to turn it on again. and viola. it works.
