My Lg monitor L1950B is not displaying anything on the screen but power is on..Help please

of the power lamp glows. and the OSD is dead.
then its dead.
check AC power, carefully, use a desk lamp to be 100% sure
there is power. if power lamp is off.
if OSD works
then plug in Display to another PC or lap top.
the Lap has an external monitor key, that must be pressed.
if the screen good, the so be it, bad pc.

I have an LG E2350V monitor. When I connect to my desk top PC, it starts to display the pc starting up sequence, then after 20 seconds or so goes into Power Saving mode and it wont get out of it. ...

Hi keepintouch0,

Make sure that the power save settings are not set in the OSD of the monitor , and if they are set to switch off after some time , then you need to change the settings as per your requirement.

Hope this helps ...:) Let me know in case you have any queries.

All my saved pictures have been deleted and the screen continually goes blank

Greetings and thanks for the question, there are various reasons why this happens. Without having your computer here to see what is going on is anybody s guess on how to repair it. If I may offer some suggestions. Since I also do not know what operating system you are using I will assume it is Win 7.
I would personally go to control panel and check my power options to make sure I do not have the settings set you close display or sleep mode or anything set to soon to close your machine down. Often times people have these set to go off there are defaulted usually to save battery usage and your lap top from getting to hot and shutting it down. The thermal switch may be activating sooner than normal. What some folks do is purchase one of those underneath fan coolers to keep their lap tops from getting to hot and constantly shutting down.
This can be the case have this checked out at least set the lap top for more time before closing down or turning the monitor off. Let us hope it is not more serious than appears. Like a lamp in the monitor going out. If it is new the lap top I would not worry about that issue because it is intermittent. Which leads me to believe it is a thermal or a shut down issue. Get the cooler fan for your lap top I recommend anyone that reads this post to also do this as well. Clean your lap top blow them out it is critical to do this to keep dust away and keep it clean.
Now there is recovery software which is free to download Click Here to check this out to retrieve lost files. Also important to get those precious memories separate off your computer and on to separate CD or DVD or storage USB stick so that when this type of thing happens you have not lost your precious memories. I hope this helps you. John

Cause If you connected the monitor power already is on, you may not get signal. Power plug off the monitor first, Then connected to laptop. Then power the laptop and power the monitor. FN key press hold with your Monitor swicthing key which symbol of two monitor shows on key probably number 5 or 6 maybe 7 check user guide if you have it.
another cause is your monitor may need driver install in your laptop, Some system required that. Check monitor system requirements.

Techguru2009: First thing disconnect the monitor and start your computer. Then connect the monitor, can you see your operating system? You need to check your bios settings for power save mode. you might need to reset the bios. You can open your case and remove the battery for ten minutes or if you can load the bios setup reset the default settings. Hope this helps.

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

* Off entirely.
* Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
* Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
* On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

Hope this helps.

Lg monitor won't come on

Try connecting the LG monitor to the VGA port on the HP tablet instead on the docking station.
