Could be the problem that many people have have with the power supply killing the motherboard.  If the power supply is a Bestec ATX-250-12E then you most likely will have to replace the motherboard & power supply.    Which model of Emachine do you have?

Beep codes can tell you what is wrong with your computer. (Assuming your motherboard uses the IBM codes that many manufacturer's use) If the continuous beeping involves long beeps, it's a memory issue. Pull out and reseat the sticks. (Try them one at a time). This involves opening the case, pushing down the clips on the ends of the memory stick and then pulling them up and pushing them back (keep the orientation the same and aligned). The memory is fully seated when the clips pop back into the memory stick's edge (there is a little shaped area that the clip fits into.).

If you here high-low beeps, then you have a CPU overheating issue.

Check your manual for the specifics on your machine's BIOS and then you can search for the beep codes for that motherboard.

I hope this helps.

(IBM is the only one with any continuous beep codes that I know; most codes have a repeat pattern with a short break to indicate the end of the code)

Remove the memory (RAM). Clean its contact points by an eraser. Fix it. If it does not work, try using another slot. If it still does not work, replace it with new.

My refrigerator beeps 5 times every few minutes and won't stop. The doors are closed. I forgot to turn it back on when I cleaned it yesterday so it was off for about 16 hrs. When I turned it back on, it...

The refrigerator is probably beeping because it is too warm. It has a sensor thaat will make it beep to warn you if it gets too warm. After being off for such a long time it will take a long time to get it cold enough again to stop the beeping. Give it time and it will stop.

F 1 Error, blinking, beeping and will not stop even when turned off, so we had to turn the circuit breaker off to stop the noise.

You have a leak.
Either from the top lid seal or bottom lid seal. A s time goes by the water level activates the sensor causing the beep. It won't do anything until you fix the leak.

Dryer tries to start - then stops and beeps PLEASE HELP

Check the exhaust hose. If the dryer isn't venting properly it will either stop or the heater will turn off and the clothes will remain wet. If the hose is not clogged check the wall vent tube.

Very annoying beep when finished programme

When the machine is on, but not running, press and hold the "pre-wash" button. After a few seconds it will begin that beep noise, keep holding it in until the beep volume goes down and finally stops completely (5-10 secs). Once the beep has stopped, release the button and voila, no more annoying beeps at the end of your cycle.

To restore the end of cycle notification (beep) do the same thing as described above, but release the button earlier while the beep is still going.
