Question about Sea and Sea MOTORMARINE II-EX 35mm Point and Shoot Camera

1 Answer

I have a Sea & Sea motormarine 2, 35 mm camera. I used it about 2months ago and it was working fine. I went to use it today put new batteries in, loaded the film and shut it up. when looking in the viewfinder I can see the red light luminating on the left of the screen and the yellow light on the right. The film is not advancing and there is no response when the button is pushed as if taking a picture. I then tried the film rewind button and again no response. Any ideas whats wrong?

SOURCE: rewind!?

If it is an SLR, there is a recessed button on the bottom of the camera that you push, then you flip the little handle out of the supply rear on top and crank clockwise, after the film is rewound and the real spins real easy, lift the supply real with the little handle and the back will pop open.

SOURCE: what if the rewinding lever doesnt rewind ?

Change the batteries under the camera. This camera is electronic. With a new battery, the camera will reset the mirror and you can **** the shutter and lower the mirror. If this does not fix the problem you may have a shutter or advance problem and the camera would have to be send off for repair. Start witht he battery, that is the fix 9 out of 10 times.

It still amazes me how many people buy these cameras that are seemingly "waterproof" and eventually have the very same problems you are now having. The only true underwater camera is one in an underwater housing.

It almost certainly needs servicing.

These cameras are especially prone to jamming up due to dried out lubricant films if they are not regularly used.

Get the seals replaced at the same time as they must be replaced at least annually.

Given the age of the camera and the fact that it hasn't been used for a while, it's quite likely the lubricants have dried up, causing the mechanical parts to stick. I'd suggest taking it in to a reputable camera shop for a CLA (Clean-Lube-Adjust), the camera equivalent of tuning up your car.

What are the steps to replace engine coupler in a mercruiser 165hp

First put the boat in forward, then undo the 6 nuts that hold the outdrive to the transom, then undo the 2 nuts that hold the end of the lift cylenders to the outdrive, tie the rods up out of the way. Wiggle and pull the outdrive free, the coupler will be hanging from it. It is worth checking the support bearing in the gimbol housing as well as the u?js in the coupler.

Yes, this sounds like a flat battery. You could try to get a jump start off someone else, so that you know it is definately not the engine. Otherwise, purchase a new battery and you should be fine.

Dimagez3 Battery Options

Hey bray598,
According to the manufacturer this camera comes with AA alkaline batteries so unless you bought defective batteries the ones you purchased should work fine. I would make sure the batteries are inserted properly, and make sure when you turn it on the battery cover and/or the memory card cover are closed. I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Allan
