Question about JVC HD-52Z575 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
My JVC HD-52Z575 52 in. tv has been working perfectly for years. It was made in 2004. While I was watching tv suddenly the picture went out and the blue light and lamp light started blinking. I unplugged it for a few minutes and plugged it back up and turned it on again. I made a sound a cricket like 2 or 3 times and the lights started blinking again. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
Look in the owners manual for the directions on how to remove the lamp. Your model the lamp goes in from the front on the left looking at the TV. There is a thumb screw in the back on the corner holding the left front speaker on. Under the panel there is another thumb screw holding the lamp door on. You will need a Phillips screw driver to remove the lamp. You will most likely find that the lamp is bad. You will either have to order a lamp directly from JVC, a service center or a parts distributor.
