If all valves are open, check the pump strainer basket. If that is clear, I would check the pump impeller for any debris in it. You have to open the pump but it is fairly easy. The impeller will be behind the diffuser.

I HAVE A MR HEATER 210'000 HEATER IT WILL ONLY RUN WITH THE TOP COVER REMOVED OR RAISED ABOUT AN INCH IF COVER LEFT ON IT WONT FIRE UP AT ALL OR IT WILL SPUTTER

This is typically due to Low Pump Pressure.
Check to make sure you input and output air filters are clean.
There is a filter under the black cover so make sure to check that one.
Turn the pressure up a 1/2 pound past manufactures setting and see if the unit starts after that with the hood having to be lifted.

2009 Hyosung GT650R fuel pump not working.

Hi, Udy the following is a systematic procedure for diagnosing fuel pump issues designed to keep "DRACHMA" to a minimum. If you need parts check with Amazon and eBay first to keep costs down.
1. If your pump does not turn on check the pump fuse and relay and all wiring including connectors for corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.
1. Normal fuel pump pressure is 3-5 PSI.
2. Check any rubber or plastic tubing for age-related pinholes by removing and plugging the ends that connect to the fuel valve and then turn on the ignition switch and watch for fuel streams exiting the pinholes, if any exist, replace tubing as necessary.
3. Check for a clogged a primary fuel filter that comes off the bottom of the pump to screen out big rocks and clean as necessary.
4. Check for a clogged secondary fuel filter that's outside if applicable by removing it from the system and replace it with a short splicing tube turn on the ignition switch and recheck fuel pressure if pressure increases to normal pressure you need a new secondary filter.
5. If all the above check out OK and the pump is not functioning properly then you need a new fuel pump.

93 chrysler t&c awd changed fuel pump and filter, van ran fine again for about 2 months now won't start and don't hear the fuel pump. changed the oil pressure sending unit and still won

fuel pick-up in tank is blocked it has a sock over the end as a gross filter to keep out any big junk from getting sucked into the pump and causing damage to it. the sock can get so plugged up that no fuel will flow, causing the pump to run for a short time then with no fuel flow to cool it it trips the safety and shuts off

I need to know the pressure the pump should be at when on i have an aboveground pool with a waterway pump.

There is no standard pressure your pump should operate at. Instead it will vary based upon the hydraulic load of the system and it's components. A range common to AG pumps/filters is between 10 and 16. As the filter gets dirty it will rise over time and then you'll need to clean the filter. A rule of thumb is 8-10 pounds over the 'clean' pressure you should clean the filter.

On first crank fuel pump doesnt hold pressure and has to be cranked on for several seconds

sounds like its not working properly, the fuel pump pumps or it does't, then goes to regulator this is where pressure is adjusted. check fuel pressure with gauge, sometimes even new fuel pumps don't pump enough fuel. most fuel injected cars have over 50 pounds pressure.

No more then 30 pounds of presure and wont shut off. Flotec water

If the pressure does not get pass 30 psi, then check for leaks along the pipelines and on the tank itself. An air leak on the top portion of the tank can cause the pressure not to trigger the pressure switch. Use soap bubbles to detect any air leak. Although a stuck pressure is not more likely the problem, check it also.
