Surprising! But this calculator does not seem to have the hyperbolic functions. ee the screen captures of the appendix to the manual: Range of the functions. No hyperbolic functions listed.

You will have to get borrow a scientific calculator. Sorry.

But to make sure: Turn calculator ON. Use cursor to highlight the RUN icon and press ENTER. In run screen press OPTN. You will see TAB at the bottom of screen. Look for HYP tab. If you do not see one on first page, press F6 to go to next page. If you do not find tthe HYP tab, that means the calculator does not calculate hyperboloic functions.

Sorry but the calculator does not have a solving routine. You can however use the graphing capabilities of the Casio FX-7400GPLUS to solve an equation f(X)=0.

If you were hoping that this calculator would be able to factorize polynomials for your, sorry my friend it cannot.

- Graph the function Y=f(X)
- Use the trace function to locate the point(s) where the function vanishes (has value Zero)

Sorry to be the messenger of bad news, but your calculator FX-7400G does not perform integrals. It can differentiate though (calculate derivatives)

Press OPTN then press -> key on the top. Select HYP and then the required function like sinh etc.These settings are for the Run mode.

A random number generator exists on this calculator. It is accessible in RUN or PGRM modes by pressing the OPTN key. If you don not see a tab PROB at the bottom of screen, press the rightmost key to move to next page.

Anyway, RAND# generates a real number between 0 and 1.

Yes it does. All scientific calculators do logs, power, roots, exponential, trigonometric functions. Most do also hyperbolic and inverse hyperbolic functions.
